Man I just hate to write this, probably one of the toughest things to do. Friday we lost my best friend Rusty. He had been going downhill for a couple years now and we really didn’t think he was going to make it through the summer of 2020. He kept pushing though and kept saying it wasn’t his time. One of his favorite things to do was to go and lay in the grass next to me while I shot my bow during the summer. This past summer he only came out a couple times so I knew it wouldn’t be much longer.
Rusty did everything with us and boy did he love his trips to Ohio. Finding shed antlers, walking in the stream, walking from one end of the farm and back he did everything with me. He had the kindest soul of any animal I have ever had the opportunity to be with. You always hear people say their pet was so much a part of their family. Rusty was so much more than that to ours. It’s just so hard to even write this.

Go find those antlers in heaven Rusty until I get there one day to find them with you.

So sorry for your loss Chuck. A good dog is family and unfortunately this is the cost we pay for their unconditional love. We lost a great dog in 2016 and it still hurts. The two dogs we have now are the most friendly, kindest souls you could meet, and I know one day I will have a broken heart…but will pay that price because of all the joy and memories they give while they are with us. Damn allergies. RIP Rusty.😢

You hit the nail on the head George .... A home is not a home unless it has a dog in it.... Bad thing is that when they move on it tears you up... Chuck sorry for your loss, may Rusty rest in peace....
