I'm a mut, so a little nod to my Scots-Irish and German genes in celebration of St. Patty's Day. Complimented by a half bottle of Proper Twelve šŸ˜Ž

FWIW - I changed adding dill and sweet relish to just adding Wickles relish - no high fructose corn syrup. By not draining the juice in the relish and pimentos it adds enough moisture so there's no need to add oil based Mayo either. Started with 5# of raw tuna, after brine, smoke, and adding the other ingredients I put up 8.5#'s of Smoked Tuna Dip (STD). I put about 1 pound in a pint vacuum seal bag - stays great for up to a year.... but it never lasts that long.

Went and had lunch with @bowhunter1023 yesterday. I was in his town and told him I wanted the best burger in town. While walking in I noticed that everything looked to be made in house. Looking at the menu I decided I was gonna eat the bun and fries. It took about 6 hours before the guts wanted to evacuate all contents. I slept like total crap too and not because of gut cramps, I didn't get those. It just cleansed me over about an hour. Crazy what a little food change can do to a person. I even had to loosen up my watch this morning from the water retention. The cravings to have more aren't even right. It's Sunday and id kick a nun in the clam for a stack of flapjacks!

The burger did not disappoint. It was the best burger I've had in a long time. The lesson reminder was also worth it. Just mind blowing to me still when I throw myself off the wagon.

I had some one on one time with my daughter a few days ago so I told her, ā€œWe can go to dinner wherever you want.ā€ I was expecting ā€œBob Ebbinsā€ or Berwarrdiā€™sā€ but instead she chose, of all places, McDonalds. I havenā€™t eaten McDā€™s in long time, as Iā€™ve basically sworn it off. But it used to be one of my favorites. Even so, baby girl wanted McDonaldā€™s so thatā€™s where we went.

I can honestly say it was the most disappointing meal Iā€™ve had in a very long time. The food tasted terrible to me. And the fountain Coke, which I used to absolutely crave like an addiction, didnā€™t even taste remotely good. It was an enlightening experience to say the least. Itā€™s crazy just how different the food tastes after youā€™ve stayed away from it for a while. Even more crazy is how shitty it made me feel the next day.

Depsite all that, I did have a great night out with my sweetheart of a daughter. It was worth it for that alone. But it also gave me a well-timed reminder of just how bad that garbage food is for our bodies.
