They are thick up here! Not uncommon to be cruising down a back road and see 3 or 4 on the same ditch line. The easiest way to shoot them would be from the truck window up here...not that I know that from experience or anything because that is against the law.... mischeif.gif:smiley_cowboy:
There is a ditch that my cousin and I walked a few years ago and seen close to a dozen on, was just telling him this morning we need to hit that one soon. Can't wait to throw my bipods on my .17 and take a stroll.

First one was a good warm up at 211 yards. Had a 5-10 mph quartering wind.
Next one was 384 yards! Proud of that poke!
Had another one with a blown off leg but he made it to the hole. Dead in my book! I was going to do a whole virtual hunt with tapatalk but couldn't get the damn pictures to load. I would like some help with it from someone in the know.

Missed one at an estimated 700+ yards just now. If I would have hit him I would have called Redcloud to verify! I was dang close (within 6 inches). The Federal dope chart is spot on.

Just curious Beentown. Do you think 2-300yds with your rifle or 20-25yds with a Smith & Wesson model 642 Airweight is a tougher shot? I am not taking anything away from your shots as they are impressive. I am just trying to save face with JD. He hurt my feelings. :smiley_arrogant:lmao

25 yards with the 642 just because it is a snubby. Can't shoot them for crap past 15 yards.

The wheat is coming off up here as well as some of the guys are cutting the first round of hay so the hogs should start heating up soon. I didn't get to put one down all weekend...kinda sucks lol.
