Had the same buck I saw cruising yesterday come back through, then two fawns without mom come in and feed, then bed on the hillside against a rock face at 50y. The wind is terrible here and cold.

Same here man. Even my cameras say it's slow. It's like we skipped the rut and went straight to post gun season. I have does still grouped up and bucks feeding together 2-3 at a time, all at night! The only deer moving in daylight are yearlings and 1.5's. Strangest and worst damn stretch of hunting I've ever endured...

Dad hunted this morning, and i think he saw whitey... a 2.5 with a big body, good mass, but no width or tine lenght. He came thru at first light, Slowly worked thru all my shooting lanes, without ever putting his head to the ground. Later on he had two different sets of does, with fawns. He said the one doe stopped and smelled one of the scrapes, but never peed in it, and was not acting like she was coming in... Wierd..

Just got back from the blind had to pick my son up from babysitters. I had bucks chasin this morning seen 8 deer before 8:00 once 8:15 hit it stoped. My buddy was hunting another stand saw a 10pt and 12pt with noses to ground looking this took place between 10 and 11 this morning. I am hunting down in Magnolia which is just south of canton. I dont think they are in full throtle but another day of this chilly weather they will be.

Had a scrub buck wonder through with no real place to be from the looks of it. Had a mature doe come out of the sanctuary all by herself also. Rut? What rut? Oh, you mean where my season is at. Dang...

I pulled an all day sit. Saw the same shooter dogging a doe hard at 7:15, 8:30 and 11:30. The first 2 sightings he was trying to get it done...got up on her back and was doing his best but she pulled away pretty quick both times. Each time they stayed 140+ yards away. I switched stands after 12 to a stand down wind of where they were and closer to where they were. I didn't see shit the rest of the day.
