Not a giant but a good deer for the small area I hunt. Good luck to all and Happy Thanksgiving.
We should be published and garnering endorsements and royalties on this method! DangThanks NewsomE for teaching him that technique. Reminds me of his mother every day.
Congrats! Cool g2 on that left sideSorry for the delay guys I had a pretty steep pack out of that spot. I know he may not look like a whole lot but killing a buck in the Georgia mountains can be a challenging yet rewarding adventure. I was fortunate to get to take this guy this morning with my savage 220. He has been packed out of the woods and is on ice chilling now. What an amazing morning in the woods. EHD?I had enough time to rush over for a scouting trip, but not enough for a hunt. So I rushed over to park on the road and glass.
Last Friday I seen a pretty good buck. In range but I couldn't calm myself down enough to make it happen. The spot is terrible to sneak in to (if yall remember how windy it was). I had an idea I knew where he was heading and I was right. I confirmed that this evening.
GREAT news, right? Well, while I was waiting the farmer (literally, across the street) stopped and I chatted with him. He informed me as to why I wasn't see the amount of deer I normally do. He found 22 dead deer in the corn field when he took it off.
I don't even think I smiled when that buck walked out after hearing that. I had just text some guys that I had just become a trophy hunter and then he stepped out. The mixed emotions are real right now. I've had the crazy want to kill a good one this year with a gun. So maybe he spread enough of his seed...idk
That would be my guess.EHD?
