Just got in with the East wind and up thermals and pond behind me ... as They say, " the wind has to be almost right for the buck and almost wring for you.

From the blind down there I watched four of five bucks pop out at the bottom and walk up that plot scent checking. We'll see.

Thanks everyone. Seemed like the bucks were at least searching in my neck of the woods. Shortly after shooting this buck I watched a non shooter breed a doe twice, so hopefully some others will have some luck tonight or in the near future

Hunting a stand site we abandoned the first year we were here. There’s only one crooked tree and the stand just wouldn’t stay quiet. Tyler did a good job on it this time during the hurricane rain. Not expecting much this eve but this spot has potential all over it.

Well TOO it got exciting real fast on me this morning on public. 7:45 this guy came cruising through dogging a doe, and I couldn’t pass

Pass? I’d shoot that buck on public…private…or even at a petting zoo if no kids were looking. Awesome buck man.

Good luck all. Owned this farm 3 years. Had the perfect plan. Lots of acorns, got the clover plot looking gorgeous, purposely applied little pressure saving it for Rutcation starting late next week..and weatherman delivering 3rd straight year of 70 degree early November high temps. Excuse me while I go repeatedly punch myself in the baby makers.

Had a younger 8pt walk by b4 dark. Good to get the blood pumping a few times before something id like to shoot strolls by. Great 1 hour 15 min sit tonight. Hoping my boy gets a crack at one of them.

Kind of a puzzling all dayer for me today…. Saw 13. Most of the does acted normal. Matter of fact, all but one. Very very minimal rut type activity. Three different bucks. None the one I’m after. Did have a very very tough pass on a double main beam buck with a turkey foot, right at last light. Haven’t seen him since velvet season. Back in the saddle all day tomorrow for sure! Still have plenty of days left of rutcation to get this done! Hope everyone had a safe and productive day today!
