I know what I've always suspected....we've got some poachers in the area. The camp down the road got them on video. The lead car took the shot (silenced or a low caliber) and the truck behind them picked up the deer. They even yelled "you got him". They didn't get the deer. The video was too fuzzy to make out any details. Someone else has a better description...maybe a Florida plate. It only makes sense....there are 4 camps on our road that are close together. All of us have seen very few bucks this year. 🤬

Just had a chat with 3 teenage girls on a golf cart and 4wheeler riding and yelling through my woods. I used to do dumb shit when i was young but terrible timing....
I have this issue with the creek behind my house. I've never said a word to anyone. I just wish they'd let me know when they plan to be back there.

New view tonight. Picked up an Ameristep Brickhouse for #2 blind, she's been in place since before Strouds. Let's have some fun! 20221030_155042~2.jpg

Finally in a tree after a solid 24 hours of absolute fuckery with my buddy down south on some public. We toted all of our climbing gear a total of 8.5 miles just to sit on the ground last night and this morning. Got in super late this am because a case of beer and watching John Wick 1 & 2 seemed like a better idea than going to sleep and getting up early to hunt. Scouted most the day, found a nice oak flat above a pond with a thicker around it, opposite side is a steep cliff and that’s where my wind is blowing. Access trail has 5 damn fresh scrape over a 100 yard stretch. We jumped one single deer walking in. Not sure what to expect other than freezing my ass off once the sun sets. Good luck to anyone else out.
