They were a little out of range even if i were hoping to kill one. I am done until after 1 when I hope to sneak up on a good one. Working gets in the way of fun...

Looking forward to some of you guys putting brown down today. Drove yesterday morning and evening. Hardly saw a deer. Saw one hunter. Rain/freezing rain moving in today into tomorrow. Not sure if it had them feeding all night or if they will be active this morning. Rooting on you guys in the trenches still trying to get it done! I live vicariously through you as I am at the computer taking a break from work at 530am. (Couldn't sleep. Might as well be productive.)

I went out to my popup, but didn't stay. I was gonna walk around a bit, but another hunter drove up in. So I said fugg it. I went over to move a cam across from the blind & walked up to talk to my neighbor who's land I hunt. As we're talking, a lone doe walks out next to my popup & comes up our way before walking past the cam & into a woodlot. That my friends is how my season has been. I'm back out , so who knows.

If you stay in due to a little rain, you are nuts! Its gun season for Petes sake! I had an awesome but very short hunt today. I could have killed a dandy buck but opted not to. The man i took hunting killed a doe at first light. The deer are still in the woods and you can walk up on 'em!
