Todays haul in Athens Co.
YaXSTnl.jpg

Some greys mostly yellows. Rain would be nice this heat is drying a lot that pop. Guessing another week of yellows/big yellows and it'll peter out here in the SE

Don't forget to make a practice by just looking down at your feet. I don't know how many times I've just stood there scratching my ass & finding them where I stood.

I did that turkey hunting this morning. Just happened to look down and my boot was almost touching one. Found 9, my first ones of the year.

My wife and brother in law found enough to fill a potato sack and a walmart bag in one 20x20 spot, it was impressive.

looked for a while last night. went to the spot I know there will be some if they are coming up yet. all i found was a huge honey bee hive. I'm allergic, so I backed out without looking much more.

Awesome haul!! Some biggins in both varieties. Looks like the big yellows are on in the south. Did the rain-dance and hoping the weatherman is wrong and rain comes soon.

Most of you veteran shroomers know what's good and what's not good to harvest and eat. There are false morels out there that some may not be aware of. For you who are new to these tasty delicacies here are a few pics to help you identify them.
