Anyone ever see "Trout Run" just over the line in PA?? Can't fish that stream but you can approx. 50 yards past it in Lake Erie. Freaking stream is black there are so many!!
Went after work yesterday. What a difference. Only landed 19 perch, 7 of which were 9" or larger. We moved all over the place to pick at them. The other boats I talked to only had a handful each, as they stayed in same areas they had been active in the past couple weeks. Not sure if the cold night a couple evenings ago did it or what. It was a very light bite as well
Well took the boat out for the first time since my accident and was more interested on how it would handle and too basically ring it out.... Boat ran fine but gotta admit I was a little gun shy and I guess I shouldn't of watched ruttins posted video of the helicopter crash before heading out lol... My buddy Shawn went with me and we started off slow checking everything out before opening it up and ringing her out.... No problems and she ran great and everything worked as advertised!!!!
Then we consentrated on fishing..... The lake was lower then a couple of weeks ago and some structure was really exposed, caught some decent bass both large and smallmouth with a limit of 5 that would of toppled he scales around 7-8 lbs.... Not a record day but a good solid one after my last trip.....
Gotta admit I was a little nervous heading out and I've never felt that before lol... Kudos too my buddy Shawn he's been there for me all year... He's cut my grass the last two weeks while I was laid up.... Everyone should have a buddy like that....
I have been doing a lot of small mouth fishing the past few weekends. Last weekend my buddy and I had an unreal morning. He caught a 5.1# smallie and we ended the morning catching nine. That's as big as they get around here. This morning I was finally able to get my dad out on my boat. We caught five. Had a great time. Sorry for the sideways pics. I don't know how to fix them on my phone.
