I took my buddy Dean to the lake yesterday. We fished from 7 to 3. It was a rather slow day. Zero saugeye captured. We kept 20 big crappie, caught probably two times as many small ones. It was a weird day. I figured we would kill em. It’s just been a weird spring around here by every measure.

The river conditions haven't been as cooperative lately. I got out after work last week one night and found a few crappies, this was the only decent one.

Surprise fish of the year was this rainbow that ate a carp fly in a feeder creek of a stocked lake. I think the lake was stocked in March. This dude won't live in this stream much longer, better head to deep water or die.

Little man got to go break in his new underspin, he was excited.

It wasn't a stellar night but he caught a few in the hour we were there.
