Killing me, first time in 5 years not hunting opening day, might make it up for the end of the week and weekend.

4 does so far. Grazing through snow in hay field. Riding out this weather hoping to get buck.
Skunked this morning, rain and snow moved in, I moved out. Deer drives this afternoon on the agenda. In the meantime doing some last minute stuff here at the house.
Heard a shot 20 minutes before legal shooting time. 19 shots all in all. Only a couple volleys with most being single shots.

Heard a couple shots in the distance. Single shots. My buddy shot a nice sized doe so we cut out early to deal with her. I had 4 within bow range. No antlers seen.
I got up, looked at the rain an went back to bed in spite of having everything laid out.
I just can't seem to get worked up... This sucks.

Ugh, I just got out. That damn Jim beam made me late.
Buddy has been out since daylight said not a shot fired around here.
Wish this rain would turn to snow. Anyhow I’m out till dark see what happens. My buddy even made me a couple sandwiches. So I’m good to go.

Lunch at the cabin now. Saw 4 slicks at daylight this morning. Only heard one shot about a mile away. No one is hunting and the deer are not moving. Worst opening day ever...Boring!
Didn’t see shit. Took a break at noon to warm my toes. Heading back out shortly. Heard about 12 shots. 5 from one gun.
I’ve heard about 50 shots. Only a few close. None close enough to get ready for something running. Still stuck on 10. My dad has seen nothing. Really thought he would tag out early.
Hunting in Athens, just got settled in about 30 mins ago, this wind sux. Don't have high hopes.
We're out. First time carrying a gun in many years. Got my good luck charm.... Connor always runs deer to me. Just watch what happens here in a bit....
