Ohio Gun Season 2019

A lot of "firsts" with this buck! :cool:

* First rifle kill.
* First kill with my new 450 Bushmaster.
* First kill shot over 100 yards.
* First time getting to use the new cargo carrier.

At the shot, he ran 30 yards and was done! (y)
Love this rifle, this cartridge and its' killing power.

I shot one yesterday evening with a few minutes to go before quitting time. First buck on My new property. Solid 8 pointer. Never saw him before. Sat from 130 until almost 5 without even seeing a deer. Then he popped out of the woods. Shot him with Thompson Center muzzleloader from 95 yards. Sorry I didn't get any good pics in the dark last night.

Missed a 40 yard chip shot this evening not 15 minutes after I got home from work. Woulda liked to have gotten to 30 yards but there were too many eyes and 2 big mama does. One was a total bitch, kept kicking the other does and the fawn. Then my chickens decided to run up ahead of me and eat with them. She tried to stomp my chickens. So I was like oh hell no, pulled up and took aim. Was squeezing steady then my dang phone starts ringing. Normally it's on do not disturb but turned ringer on as I was waiting for a call from lowes and of course after a week of trying they call me at the worst possible time. Phone rings. Mamas look right at me and I shot. Not a piece of hair or a drop of blood. I haven't put the gun on paper in years, maybe should but I'm gonna guess it was me. I do believe that's the first miss that gun has had. Oh well, it was fun! Maybe Thursday, lowes tomorrow I need countertops and a sink before the woman makes sure the 870 is shooting straight with me as paper.
