The saw is a clone stilhl ms660 by farmertec. 92cc. Went that route as it is a kit saw. Essentially a grown up LEGO set you put together. Learned a ton about chainsaws while assembling it. Plus about 75% less than a real stihl. It’s perfect for the few times I need a big saw.
The dozer is the contractor that Is dumping the dirt dad is receiving from the road project. I will post pics of the boards. Will probably start a new thread for the gazebo build.
I'm off to the local Stihl dealer after lunch for a new 311 or 391. The Poulan Pro 42cc/18" combo I received 20yrs ago is still hanging on but at end of life after this last weekend. Will keep to delimb or a backup to use if in a pinch with the new one. It's like Christmas Eve😁
Flooded it right out of the gates as soon as I brought her home. Was able to clear it by holding throttle open, which makes me feel better knowing it can be done in the field without pulling plugs n such. I appreciate your info for sure and will remember as I work to grow our relationship together. Just like a women, need to understand her sounds for what gets her fired up.
I have the Stihl 310 with an 18" bar. Incredible running saw. For regular tree and log cutting it is hard to beat. Clearing brush and all it gets heavy fast, that's when I switch over to one of my dad's smaller Poulan or old McCulloch.
