I'm opting to sleep on my cot in the cabin so maybe another open slot?

Mason has been so ticked off we haven't made it the last couple years. This year, it's his fault. Final fall baseball games are Sunday, and it would be a bad idea to have him down there carrying on half the night prior. As I say every year, I'm jealous and hope to make it next year. Good times to be had for sure....post pics!

The way my wife has been lately it wouldn't surprise me if I drove four hours just to hide. Probably best to stay home. Looks like you guys are going to have a blast. I wish you all much luck!

So...slight change of plans for me due to having to go in to work for a couple hours Saturday morning. I’ll be down Friday evening to hang out but not staying the night. I plan on heading back down Saturday afternoon sometime to hang out and then do a recon/scout hunt on a public piece that @OHIOOutdoors2 has been eyeing. Not what I had originally planned but I’ll be there!

For you guys scouting some public ground, Fox Lake isn’t far from there and I’ve seen some huge bucks there before. I’d park in the parking lot near the dam then walk the blacktop road uphill about 100 yards and you will see a gate with a cable run across it to keep vehicle out. Follow the field all the way to the top of the hill ( about 350 yards ) and you’ll see two gas lines....stay to the gas line on the right and walk about 100 yards down the right of way. You’ll see a pine thicket on your right that the deer use to travel through. That area to the right is a good area if someone wants to check it out. Hope everyone has a good time this weekend. I’ll be in the hospital Friday getting a kidney stone and stent removed that’s been hurting since October 2nd...far too long to endure that kind of pain. This is the first surgery in my life that I’m actually looking forward too....even though they have to go in through my “hydrolics” and into my bladder to get the stone/stent out. I’ll be following along to keep updated on the antics.

Any one who hunts there will likely see some of my dad's deer. They only live about a mile from there haha. Good luck with your surgery!
