Had both skid loaders on the job site today working ground. Taking the tractor over tomorrow for some of the areas that were still too wet for the Bobcats. Hoping to finish up by noon, come home test the Slick Tricks that showed up today and kill something tomorrow night. If the ST's don't fly true I can always throw the MX3s back on there. I am guessing (hoping) there won't be any issues. Should be an interesting hunt. We hung a double stand on this property over a month ago. It is on the west end of the property and we have never hunted there much in the past. I used a climber there one time last year with deer just out of range. The buddy stand is closer to the edge and we have trimmed the shooting lanes. Supposed to have an east wind and I was thinking we are around a full moon. Not sure these are great odds, but the deer were out there tonight when road scouting. Had a big boy spotted there a few days ago. Only one person has hunted the property or even stepped foot on the property in the last month or more. Maybe with the moon, front, new stand location, etc, there will be just enough craziness going on that I could get lucky. If not, then it will still be worth it just to be in a tree stand on my local hunting turf!

Worst case scenario, I might get a better view of the deer movement from the west end of the property which we normally wouldn't be able to see.

We should have called our team "Slow Cookers"!

I shot at the range yesterday and am ready to go. Wed night I'll pick up my arrows and shoot them in at Milo's and then Thursday will be all hunting, Fri morning/afternoon, and all day Saturday. We'll see what happens! As of right now, the corn is still standing on the farm I'm planning on hunting.

Good luck bud, hope you get the chance to fling an arrow.

Work Huck. Can't break loose. Looks like the majority of hunting I get in will be whichever days I choose not to work. Probably just a morning or evening hunt here or there until I get caught up.

Unless he gets his azz run over by the truck driven by Moe and dies a horrible painful death..... just sayin hahaha

C'mon J, take it to the trash talking thread brotha! I bet you just left there didn't you? I find myself still trash talking after I leave that thread for some reason too.rotflmao

Be nice to win the contest for 12mo worth of bragging rights, but I am rooting for everyone in all reality. I would love to see Jesse tag Moe, hunt2 and Rgecko fill out some buck tags, Jackalope to break his slump, Huck to hold some bone that doesn't hang between his legs, Fluteman to outdo his wife. . . .I could go on a long time!

Sadly, my trip to the hunting grounds got postponed due to a work commitment that came up...I feel like Hicks now :( We are only one letter different...

That is hilarious!

Well fellas, I just couldn't seal the deal tonight. Got one of the two on my hitlist within 50-60yds but he just wasn't committed in heading my direction. I needed another 20-30yds to get him into my shooting lane. Would have had amazing mass measurements, main beam length, and longest tine as well. Probably won't score well in regards to B&C scoring system, but a dandy of a mature deer with lots of character. A true trophy in my book. He lives another day because (in my opinion) his belly took him the other way.
