i go to the wood pile and run off some noodles with the chainsaw. they start fast and plenty of quick smoke .

Been a while since i have seen someone know about noodling a log with a saw.

noodlin is the only way to burn wood ina smoker . no waiting . i live in licking co. close to newark if anybody needs some oak noodles look me up . takes about 3 minets to get a 5 gallon bucket full.

With the warm weather we've had, it's too bad the smoke isn't a skeeter repellent.

I'd heard the term, but needed to Google to teach me exactly what it was. I remember my uncle mentioning it one time in regards to the smoker, but I didn't know exactly what that meant...

The only reason I knew what that was is from watching the Lumberjack Challenges from time to time .

Gotta love the HOT SAW and the WHIPSAW events .

Spring boards are cool to watch. I don't think that many people ever see a widow maker and live to tell about it or the old barbers chair .

Yea thats the show I am talking about.

The spring board, thats the one where they have to move the plank up or down? where they make the wedge.. I forget how they do it exactly.

Yup. They cut a wedge and place a plank jump on the plank and cut a second notch place in the plank and cut the log at the top.
