Home for lunch. Got skunked. Can't believe it after seeing all of those deer on the drive there. Oh well hope they show for the evening. Did find a nice shed laying in the field.

Any pics of the shed? Any chews Scott?

Glad you guys had a better hunt in the evening. Sorry to hear you didn't get that buck. How nice was he?

A couple of old buddies are down in my neighborhood hunting with their kids this weekend. They were pretty much skunked today. However, my neighbor sent me a pic of his daughter with a nice buck. Mason needs to marry that girl!

Trying to get up. Looked at the weather forecast. It's not helping me get up any faster lol

Was gonna try and put in an all day sit but I'm just gonna go for as long as I can.

Lets see here. 14 degrees, what little bit of wind we have makes it feel like about 3 degrees. My warm wife is in my warm bed under my warm blankets.

If I had actually been seeing deer this season I might be more enthusiastic. The idea of sitting in this frozen wasteland not seeing shit, again, is sending me back to bed. At least if I was gun hunting I could move around a little.

Thanks DNR for killing all the deer,

Nothing says "stay home and get some nookie" like 14 and a wind chill

The buck we shot at ended up being the smallest of the 3. Just a nice young 6 point. By the way the deer acted I thought Ethan hammered him. 40 yard broadside. I did a very thorough seach and nothing. Still having trouble making it right in my head. Anyway here was the shed we picked up. If we would have set up near these hay bales we would have had a chance at the better buck. We did not go out this morning. I hope to be out for the evening.

Well I kinda do believ it, she came in up the hill below me so it was a steep shot and with my neck gaitor and gloves on I had a tough time getting to my nocking point.

And excuses are like assholes we all have one and they all stink. Until next time.

No I don't think so. It was weird I literally couldn't get my pin behind her shoulder it was stuck high and left of it. And I was talking to myself going thru my steps but I couldn't budge the pin. Buck fever on a doe. Good grief.
