Yes, they do pheasant hunts whenever people would like, between Oct and March. There is a large group from Cincinnati that have the land bordering his farm that may be driving today, and Dean may be doing some deer drives too. There aren't many days throughout the year they aren't shooting something out there!
Mason and I will be heading out shortly. He's taking the muzzle loader and watching a big crp field tonight. I'm hoping we get to see the big one he saw yesterday. I'd love to get a look at him. I just hope we can get to our vantage point without a doe standing up - I don't want to fool with a deer today. :)

We saw 6 antlerless. Only 2 were close enough to shoot, but they never offered a slam dunk opportunity. We did not hear any shots this evening.

I think everyone was doing desperation drives this evening, shots all over. Makes me wonder how many wounded deer we have running around. On the good note, after two cold days of sitting and waiting, my girlfriend made a 45 yard shot on a doe at 4 55 pm this evening. Dropped in its tracks. She has more patience and more tact then most men that I know who have hunted all of their lives. Cant beat watching one walk in knowing what is about to happen. Once it dropped and started flopping she wouldn't look and made me tell her when it was done moving. Bless her heart. I asked her if she wanted to say a prayer before we dragged it off and we both did. Even taught her how to get a deer out the old fashioned way. So proud right now.

Birdies have been talking lately. Not starting a thread. Just saying. Looking forward to some new stories posted up before too long. Maybe later tonight for the one. Who knows if the other ever makes it to the boards.

Tell her congratulations, Seth! That's awesome, I know she's had a struggle the last couple of years. She was due!

In the stand with a crossbow tonight. This is a first for me and looking to put some meat in the freezer and to check off this weapon on the list. Beautiful evening!

Good luck, Adam. I agree with RC, does seem like a good evening for movement. I checked our bait pile in the yard, they have been there sometime today.

Should be pretty good movement tonight with the snow moving in tomorrow.... They're calling for up too 6" last time I looked.... Unloaded 200 lbs of corn in some tube type feeders that we made up today so we'll see what they attract.... Other than squirrels and coon and turkey lol....
