I went out to get my camera, ended up finding a shed and a dead buck. I also had a doe walk 30 yards right in front of me and stare at me for 3 minutes, that would never happen if I was hunting lol

Funny how that works. I had a buck bigger than the one I've been chasing just standing in my back yard twice within the last couple weeks. Once at 11am right after gun season and then again this evening.

Good job Treed! Thanks y'all!! While I was tracking her I would see bigs spirts of blood then nothing, drop here drop there. I thinking to myself what the hell?? I know I made a good shot on her as I saw the hair split upon entry and knew the path it would take.. Well after I found her I realized why I didn't get a good path. Part of her lung was out of the hole and semi clogging it. That is the first time I have ever seen that! Oh well the damage was done and the end result the same.... Meat in the freezer!! :)

You too Woody. Meat in the freezer is a great thing. A little trail bologna to snack on in the stand is always good too! There's still one more out there for me. He's been all over my property but he's being pretty elusive. We'll see what happens in the next few days.

Had Kody out still trying to get his first compound kill. One doe came out around 5:20. She made her way to 20 yards and kept looking our way into the blind. When Kody had his best chance, he drew. He just started to get his pin settled on her and she bolted out to 40 yards. 2 more doe came out then and never came any closer. 40 is just out of his range right now and it wasn't worth the risky shot.

It was a good hunt though. He got the shakes after she ran off and we had all the fun with none of the mess. Lol

What a great encounter...I absolutely enjoy every minute hunting with my kids...even when they want to play 20 questions, but especially when the deer come in range!
