Woke up Thursday morning with a scratched cornea. Nice way to start second day of vacation. Was back at it Saturday. Passed on a little six point last night. TOO little even for public land standards. Headed out now.

15 hours in stand. Saw three does and two bbs. I still have not seen a buck this year.

I was in a ladder stand too. No dozing off like I can get away with in my climber. Never again. I feel like I was hit by a train.

I bumble fucked around getting in and was sweaty. But I love the view! I'm overlooking a shelf with fresh scrapes along it. Food plot is in the bottom below me.

Was excited to hunt last night. This morning I woke to check winds. They can't make up their mind so I played it safe. Hunting a different stand than intended last night. Not a bad stand. Just not as exciting as the one I hoped to hunt today. Seen zilch thus far but this one seems to get movement an hour or two after daylight generally. Still hope and the view is great.
