Saw 5 different bucks today all out cruising around. One 140 - 150 working a scrape at 3 oclock.Passed on a descent 9 point at 4 oclock cruising a big CRP field looking for does. Seems like they are starting to get up and about during the day. Each day should get better. Will be sitting all day the next couple of weeks.Had some pics of a nice buck working a scrape at 12:30 in the afternoon the other day also.

Outstanding GT! Darn fine buck you are hanging onto there!

Wife is home. Works again tomorrow. Doubt I see any rut activity tonight. Know I won't see any tomorrow since she is at work and I am juggling the kids.

My cousin is hunting out in williams county and said his buddy got a nice nine yesterday and said they are seeing some of the best deer activity that they have ever seen. It was slow but these last couple days have really picked up!!! My daughter is realy excited about going now!!! Thanks again everyone!!!

Makes good sense. When there are no does around, there is some fierce competition over the few remaining. I think this is why Brock is seeing such action. Pure speculation on my part, but it makes sense. Then the DNR will take all the credit for it.

We now have does.... Lots of 'em it would seem, and therefore the bucks. A mile down the road, there are probably a heck of a lot less does. Bucks like does. :)

A photo I took while hunting public land this weekend, love this part of ohio wish my property was SE not west central.

Hunted some public had a doe at 10yards at 7:15am but let her walk then had a guy walk behind me at 9 then the same guy and his buddy, both in jeans with arrows knocked "stalking" thru the woods. Called it a day and walked to my favorite spot and napped from noon to 1ish. Here was my view. Wish the power line wasn't there.

Get him in the morning, Gordo. I plan to, but if I'm lucky and do kill one, I'm gonna really miss getting up to get after them every morning! I plan to put my ghillie suit to use in the morning. I've watched tons of deer filter through a patch of foxtail every morning. I'm getting in there extra early and getting right in there with them. I'm really going to miss being able to see all the activity at a distance though.

Same here man. Especially after filling buck tag early october last year, i feel kind of 're-born'. Its all about the pursuit, thats for sure

Were you in Jefferson County? I ran into two guys like that last year. Blue jeans. Stalking. Exact description.
