Got down and grabbed some lunch, getting ready to smoke up again and climb into a set on a different property.
Itching to get out of work and into the stand. Hopefully I'll be sat down by 3:15. Daylight savings sucks.
Sure does. In just a couple weeks I will be going to work in the dark and getting home after dark. With the way it is now I still don't get home in time to hit the woods since it is about 30min before dark. Before I could get out there and get dressed it would all be over lol.
Just settled in. Either the wind has died down or this spot just doesn't get it. Hope to see something cool.
Came back too the farm and coming down the lane in a small overgrown area just before some red brush there stands a good size doe watching me drive by... I stop back up just too make sure I'm not seeing things ... Sure enough all by herself just watching me drive by.... I pull up about a hundred feet and start debating a stalk lol decided too pass and give her a break and see what happens.... Hopefully a buck will start moving looking for her and it'll be the one I'm waiting on.... Fingers crossed at the creek crossing lol....
Good luck guys. 10am-2pm hunt. Saw one fawn about the size of our boxer. She bedded at 11yds. Would have made a good spit roast. lol

All the crops are gone and there a next to no acorns. I have a few hundred pounds of ear corn 150 yards out, the Runway plot loaded with radish under me, and I can see the Big Plot which still have winter peas and winter wheat. The radishes are huge also. It's not the best spot to kill, but it's a killer view!
I'm sitting in the midst of some blow downs overlooking some shelfs 7mi from home. All smoked & ghillied up. The oak leafs are thick underfoot.
Hope one of them bucks from last night shows just a little closer tonight.

Asked Karissa if she wanted to go hunt and she's not feeling it like me so I showered up and smoked up and hanging in a tree I haven't hunted since I killed splits two years ago on Nov.14th. Got my video cam and binos. Starting to sprinkle some since I settled in about a half hour ago.

Starting to sprinkle. Don't have my good rain gear. We will see just how "resistant" this stuff is maybe...
Spit rain here for about 5 minutes. Not seen anything yet. Thinking maybe I should have stayed where I was.
