The TOO Live Hunt and Recap Thread: 2013 Edition

Great 1.5 y/o 8 point just came in after hitting the can call. Was working about 80 yards in the woods...hit it twice and he came on a rope.

Doe just went by. Wanted to kill her but I don't have enough to spare.

Another great young buck just showed. Scent smoker rocks. They went around me twice...and not a worry. All within 40 yards the whole time. Hell, they were checking in at each of my shooting lanes. Great to see deer!

Good stuff Beener. Hopefully there great grandpa shows up.

Sounds like a great time. Wishing I was able to get out also.

That's what sucks about my job. As soon as the weather gets good for hunting we get slammed. Between four service techs we have done a week and a half to 2 weeks worth of work in 3 days. Fugg. I just want to hunt.

Love hearing posts like this. Glad to hear you are seeing some deer on stand Beener! Best of luck out there.

A good friend and retired fireman in my township killed a nice 12pt tonight. Another friend (and I believe a lurker on TOO) shot a buck tonight. Hank and I went out to help him look. Hank took me the same direction twice. We thought we heard a deer move but not exactly bolt. We decided to back out and look for blood in the daylight. If Hank's nose isn't lying to us that deer double backed on him and was heading for the creek. Hopefully we start Hank's 2013/2014 recovered deer thread tomorrow.

Sounds like tonight was the night to hit the woods.

Should b on stand in 20. Beautiful morning, last week of october, need i say more. Good luck to all heading put. Bout time for some slungers to start hitting the ground

I'm loafing in a tree too. I saw four doe on the way in. Took a bunch of pics w my cell of one at ten yards for you folks afraid to carry a flashlight. :). I'm watching one right now at the landowners cornpile which is about 230 yards across a field.
