Pretty slow night. Nice and calm when i settled in. It wasnt long before the wind started howling. Saw one dink
Well my last job blew up so I didn't get any stand time in tonight. Don't think I will get out in the morning either got some one coming over tomorrow to up grade my electric coming into my house. Still has the old 60 amp service supplying the house. Going to upgrade it to a 200 amp. Depending on how long that takes will determine any of my weekend hunting time.

We got el skunko tonight. Sat for 1.5 hours in gusty 15-20 mph gusts. Talked to a farmer across the road that has 100+ acres and they found 2 dead velvet bucks and 2 dead does this late summer. Called the GW and he suspected EHD. How many others were there on other properties. No wonder we haven't seen many deer!
That sucks FS. Ahh heck, I am sure they were overpopulated anyways, just natures way of thinning them out. There I saved you a call to the GW.:smiley_crocodile:
Good luck to everyone heading out this weekend. I bought a stupid orange cheap plastic vest tonight. I despise wearing it while bow hunting. I figured maybe it may accidently get a few holes in it on the way to the stand since it is made of plastic, and it may not be as obvious to a deer. I know it's happening right now, my hopes are not too high though where I am at. Never know though, that's why you gotta keep at it this time of year! Good luck fellers. As Coonie would say, lay um low.

I stayed in tonight. Shot my bow some, washed my orange vest and new windproof jacket, then hung out with the wife and kid. I'm already in bed. Getting old sucks as bad as 5AM wake ups!

Gonna be a couple cold days. Good luck this weekend. I am about ready for the three S's. Shit, shower, and smoke. Then off to a couple fence rows which meet up with corn on either side of them. Hoping to see some does eating and big boys cruising. Time will tell.
