The TOO Live Hunt and Recap Thread: 2013 Edition

Had one bunny up. The icy snow was tough on the scent. Molly ran it for awhile, but lost it. The bunny was sitting very tight. She bumped it out from under a log.

Kody shot at one pheasant, miss... back in the warm house.

Good deal Mike.... You'll make a rabbit hound out of her yet..... Keep at it as much as you can.....

Dark till 10am. Not a deer to be seen. Had to leave before i started loosing arrows at squirrels. My buddy sat 4-500yds away from me and saw over a dozen he claims. 4 were bucks to include one shooter. Crazy how that works sometimes.

Been there before Phil.... Buddy sitting behind me a couple hundred yards he sees a lot I see squat....

But there's days when it flips and he's skunked and me not so much lol....

sending good juju everyones way this morning!!

Ron and I pulled a stand of his this morning and set it up in a pinch just above a nice waterfall where several trails converge in like a gateway leading up into the thickest and nastiest bedding area(clear cut) you can imagine. We put up my LW just below his LW for a double set so I can film and offer another set of eyes. I also set up a TC over that crossing above the waterfall.

We also set up a ground blind on a powerline cut right next to a cluster of pines. We have decent vantage on the side we're on but real nice on the far bank where we think a good buck is likely to travel if pressured. We saw a few does cross over there so maybe we'll catch a shooter pushing or cruising as well. We wanted a blind set up so if it rains it won't keep us from hunting.

We founds some nice rubs but just took a pic of the nicest one. Hope he gets a shot at the brute that hit that tree and it won't be due to the lack of trying. Hope we're able to catch it on film but we'll see....

Lol Steve, I hope not! We pruned out a trail that winds down along this deep creek bed that will take us right to the base of our double buckeye tree that sits about 60 yards above the pinch. The waterfall is about 10 foot high so hopefully we won't hear it from where we're at. Lol

Entry is so crucial so I insisted we use the lowest ground possible that covers about 150-200 yards but we're surrounded by thick and nasty galore.
