Not exactly Joe. The hunt was Brock's brain child and the reason it's at Strouds was to shoot the snot out of Rex's local deer. When Rex turned out to be a gracious host, the hunt morphed into the TOO fall outing...Brer Rabbit and the briar patch.

I guess you could say both really, tonks and yours. You were a good host. But the end goal remains the same. Kill deer. Not wanting to violate the 400 foot from a trail safety rule I suspect the Strouds population will go largely untouched. However I have every nook and cranny of WNF / AEP / and Athens conservatory mapped out for 20 miles.

The booklet says "The total bag limit is nine (9) with no more than one (1) antlered deer. You cannot exceed an individual county bag limit."

You guys are still thinking about things on a basis of zones. The rule says "individual" county.

Go to Athens shoot 4 deer, but you can only use one antlerless tag. You go to another county, start over. Shoot 4 deer there and only use one antlerless tag you're good, you have not exceeded either counties individual limit. You have however tagged 8 deer and would only be allowed 1 more no matter where you are. As long as it isn't in one of the counties you have already limited out in.

Thats how I read it anyway. Doesn't really matter to me anyway, I typically don't have a need to kill any more than 2.

This is correct.

Jim, you and your daughter will be missing out on a good time. It's as good a place as any to get a first deer, and there are lots of fellas there that would love to help her/you get that done!

Thank you for the opp. you guys are offering. I know any one of you would pass on a deer if it meant someone else getting the opportunity to take their first.
Its just that I think it will be very cool for her to take her first deer land that has been in the family and hunted for 4 generations. Since you always remember you first, I think it's the way to go. I will look forward to next year though!

There's a local place who will take them. I'll call to get drop off details. I also have no doubts we can eat a whole deer. If we want to try this, I'll bring tin foil and my injector. Hard to fugg that up...

Makes sense to me. We'll just look forward to the next time!

Hey Steve(Hoyt,Huck or anyone else) you can have my bunk in the cabin. Chris(Woody333) and I are bringing a camper and I will be bunking in it with him. I will be bringing my tent for anyone else to use if someone needs it.

Won't be long fellas! A week from this Friday!!!!

Hey Brock...tell my buddy Mason that I made one of those Tony Lapratt buck beds out in front of his stand and they're using it...

Almost all dialed in with the muzzy. Hitting the target at 50 and 100 so it is good enough for me right now. Going to hit the range again next weekend and hope to hit the one down there Friday to pop off a couple rounds.

I'll pass that along to him. I will leave out the Tony Lapratt part as I don't want to be running all over the county making beds for buck deers...
