Thanks, like I said though, it's mostly the wife. A single bar of Irish spring keeps the critters away all season too. She quarters it up and places a piece on each corner. Works in the strawberry patch and everywhere else she puts things that normally get eaten.

What?! I have never heard of that before. I have to tell my aunt about that, she had major deer problems last year

Works like a champ! Keeps the coons and everything out. I'm guessing because it smells like a man? Since she started doing that, we haven't lost a single thing from critters.

I like that!

It keeps them off the ground, so we don't get many that spoil. It also takes up a lot less space that other wise wouldn't of been used. Kids also had fun building forts in it when it's not being used.

I also made all those boards from a couple dead Ash tree's I had in the woods. It was my first time using a mill, so they are far from perfect. Still pretty cool to me.

Dad mentioned needing to fence our garden off and I said I had the solution. Went to the truck and grabbed a bar of Irish Spring and he laughed. I just said wait and see!

I can't wait to try it. Where my garden is, it'll be the true test of its effectiveness!

I'm not sure about all that. During the spring is the only time I have deer in that area of my yard on a regular basis. I've heard of people putting an alarm clock under a bucket with music playing on low also. Let us know how it works and if effects the deer movement much. With the way the wind blows here I wasn't really worried about the deer being too bugged by it, as it mostly blows into the horse pasture in the background of the first pic. (I enjoy seeing the deer and other wildlife in the yard)

Thanks Milo!

I'm the retard. Had $20 worth of starters outside last night. It wasn't supposed to get below 40 and we had some frost. Plants looks like shit. Same for the $15 hibiscus we bought too. Any chance they'll come back around?

Not sure man…might have learned a cheap lesson. Did they frost? Did you get them pulled inside right away this morning? They are stunted for sure, they might work good for late bloomers.

If you can nurse them along and we get the lightening forecasted this weekend, put them outside during the storm. They might surprise you.

You can also try putting clear plastic over them and putting them in front of a window/grow light. The cheap stuff from your kitchen will do just fine.
