Thanks y’all. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. He’s also got an antique parlor stove we’re eventually gonna install so that’ll be nice. I enjoy the work and getting paid to help a buddy while also saving him some cash ain’t a bad deal lol.
If there's a more satisfying chore, I haven't found it yet. Tracie spent time Saturday hand cleaning the front porch, so I took advantage of her momentum and a rainy day yesterday to do the N and E (front) sides of the house. Managed to get the sidewalk to the front door done, too. This is the N side and it was done 2 years ago. Shows how fast it can get away from you! I also ripped out 3 dead boxwoods and will be rebuilding the wood privacy fence that blew down back in May. Felt good to get this off the end of summer to-do list.
I bought some "As Seen on TV" siding wash concentrate at Bridgeport Equipment and mixed per the directions (could have been mixed a big heavier). Wet the siding, spray that, give it 5 minutes while I wash the last section, repeat the process. It did well, even on area where the siding had oxidized. I can see spots I missed the oxidized areas, so I'm happy with it. Only used 1 gallon for the two sides of the house.

Nice work. 30 second cleaner works very well for the same thing. 10 bucks a gallon at menards.

Not a weed in the driveway and crisp lines in the lawn. Can eat off the garage floor.

Can’t remember what the last update on the house was. We are down to our last big project. Had a propane fireplace installed and now finishing up the wall. We also updated the front door and all outside lights.
Other side of the front entry door. Also building the Mantel for the fireplace. Finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel. It has been 13 months since I started this fiasco.
