All the birds are now in Southern NJ... Back in 81 all the birds were in Northern Jersey.. Look at permit sales alot of Southern Counties sell out where up North they are available all season... Same with the deer. How things change..

Back in the early 90’s, Salem county and Burlington county were the only two counties that had turkeys in the southern part of the state. Didn’t see my first turkey in my county until the late 90’s. The population exploded over the past 20 years down here. Now I’ve got them eating out of my bird feeder.

I used to sit on my patio listening to birds gobble across the street every morning in the spring... I can't remember when was the last time I heard a bird... This is Sussex County.. They just disappeared..

They busted the guy this morning. Waiting on the details it's prolly gonna start a neighborhood fued when he finds out who turned him in.

Maybe i missed something. What exactly did they bust him for since season isn't in yet?

We were leaving to go to dinner last night and I heard a gobble way off across the road. Got out the Sasquatch walnut pot and hit him with it. Turns out there were 2 really nice toms in the pines and I managed to call them both to the road. I honked the horn and got them to shock gobble for the girls. They loved seeing that!

Headed to the farm now to listen for birds before I go butcher hogs. Not the kind of morning I had in mind with this snow and ice!

Tennessee season is in I'm heading there next week. I guess they took his gun hunting license and all his turkey hunting stuff they had with him. Now there trying to contact land owners to see if he had permission to hunt. I guess where he was is kinda land locked so even if he had permission to hunt t where he was there was no access without crossing a few other properties.

Handful of good goobles this morning on the oak ridge. Couple hens up there cutting it up too. Sounded like they were still flocked up. The fellers got quiet after pitching. If they roost where they were today in a couple weeks, it'll make it tough to get set up, but if I can get in there without blowing them out, it should be over in an hour.

I think I’m in hocking county...just west of Logan.

Had one strutting in the snow this morning here. Was cool to watch the hens go to him and the deer come up wondering what all the commotion was about. [emoji106]🏼
Ready to kill one yet?

Just looked it up, I was in Logan county for sure. Almost the center of it.

Set up a new tc today on a flat that they like to hang out on. I have one tc to check tomorrow on the same property I got the pics on today, I just didn't feel like walking up the pasture hill😂
