Used to go through vehicles like I’d change socks.

Great looking CJ7. Triumph, Saab, and Mazda? That looks too long to be a Miata. RX8 or RX9? Something like that? Am I close? The FN one fiddy is an easy one. The SCCA car has me puzzled. I want to say VW Rabbit but those fatties and fender flares have me thrown off. Lol

The SCCA is a rabbit GTI, the green car was a VW Corrado VR6. Mazda is a 2005 Miata. Miss them all.

I built this sandrail in 1985 and regret ever selling it. 🙄 It weighed 1250 lbs., had 14" of ground clearance 10" of shock travel and an unknown top end speed. 2180cc engine with two 2-barrel Dellorto carburetors, full racing heads with an 11:1 compression ratio, 84mm crank, 92mm pistons and an Engle high lift cam. I used hydraulic hoses for the oil system that had 2 4-pass oil coolers and an oil filter for a 6 qt. oil capacity. 1968 VW bus rear torsion and 4-speed tranny with a 1965 link king pin front suspension. Goodyear Terra tires on the rear that were 15x15 on a 15x15 rim. When racing it in sand drags I used competition groove sand paddle tires. In the center console there were 2 steering brakes, that would lock or drag either the right or left tire for extremely sharp turns. It ran high 6s in the sand drags.

I've never been big on cars but I really like this VW Passat TDI. Really comfortable and drives really sporty. Not fast or anything but real snappy on low end with the diesel and little bitty turbo.

Sadly, I'm probably fixing to sell it. It just doesn't get used and is too nice of a car for one of my kids to use.

I had a VW Passat.... Bought it used... Gotta say it was a pretty good car... Handled and drove nice... Used it as a commuter car until comming home one night some drunk rear ended me...

Friggin thing sold new for $38k in September 2020
Prices are insane... My first house back in 1978 was $36,000... Today I'm gonna pay $60 - 70,000 for a truck to sit in my driveway and rust away or drive it in the woods... Yeh,, your happy as shit when you first get it, but then after a month that nice fuzzy feeling wears off and your strapped with a $600.00 + payment for years.... F that noise...

Ahhh yes. Forgot about the Corrado.

@Bowhunter57 love the rail. And Giles is right. Had my 2002 Tacoma. Bought needing frame repairs. $4500 I think. Made frame repairs. Another section rusted out. I sold it needing frame repairs for $4800 4-5yrs later. Guy said he would fix it. Buddy's car lot would get $11-12k out of the 122k mile 21 year old Tacoma. Said it would go to Mexico and they would get $17-18k out of it down there. Blew my mind but I didn't care. Served my needs. Good for them.
