What's For Dinner?

The Mrs pertty much bakes, I cook. So Father's Day is me trimming the other backstrap from my 2020 buck and making about half of it into some filet mignon's. I'll grill them out once they get seasoned and hit room temperature. I carve when still slightly frozen to get good lines.

Happy Father's day you dad's - I hope you get to rejoice in gratitude over a meal or two today 🙏.

I generally add some fresh split wild cherry to the grill for flame kisses...

I have decided that after 40 years of life I am done eating boneless skinless chicken breast. I never really cared for it, but I would always eat it if the wife cooked it. It just sucks. There I said it. There's no flavor, no grease, no soul to it, there's no joy in it. It's the meat a vegan would pick to eat if you put a gun to their head. I've had it about every damn way there is to have it, there's no joy in it. It doesn't taste bad, in not repulsed by it, I just don't see a reason to keep eating it and pretending it's actual meat.
 
I have decided that after 40 years of life I am done eating boneless skinless chicken breast. I never really cared for it, but I would always eat it if the wife cooked it. It just sucks. There I said it. There's no flavor, no grease, no soul to it, there's no joy in it. It's the meat a vegan would pick to eat if you put a gun to their head. I've had it about every damn way there is to have it, there's no joy in it. It doesn't taste bad, in not repulsed by it, I just don't see a reason to keep eating it and pretending it's actual meat.

I feel the same. Wings is about the only way I actually like it.

I like the rest of the chicken, right down to gizzard, not a fan of livers, but thighs, wings, legs, and even the necks are fine by me. Breast are just soul-sucking unless like you said Jon they're chopped in tiny pieces, fried and coated in sauce. Then they're palatable, but still not as much as a traditional wing.

Like tofo, taste like whatever spices you put on it.

I sure loved the chunks wrapped in bacon and slathered in BBQ sauce that Fluteman usually brings to the outings, just sayin’! Lol

boneless chicken parts are desirable only for convenience, and by people who don't own or know how to use a sharp boning knife. boneless, skinless thighs are a welcomed substitute. actually has flavor. leg quarter is best part of yard bird.
