I had a spotted fawn on camera in September a few years ago. Looked to only be a week or so old. I figured it to be from a late bred fawn but she looks mature. If your doe is, that's a pretty late breed. February I'm guessing

5:15 p.m. Thursday - August 12, 2021 - 'MAN IT'S HOT OUT!':

Just created this video moments ago, mainly for the wife because I know she'll get a kick out of it.

The other video is from yesterday morning at the crack of dawn for approximately an hour of deer activity at the feed station and I posted yesterday evening on my channel, which shows that things have not let up at all yet or since I've been maintaining it religiously for months now. I am however, quite amazed just how much actual deer day activity has occurred despite the current heatwave over the past few days.

9:20 p.m. Saturday - August 14, 2021 - 'ROSS CO. FAIRGROUNDS':

Didn't know where to put this, so I suppose this a good a place as any.

Back in the day, we called these 'field-days', but it's the county fair here and it's great to see maskless people everywhere! Not one person seen with one. Pretty cool in my book!

Have a great weekend 'TOO'zers!

4:30 p.m. Wednesday - August 18, 2021 - 'NO HARD ANTLERS YET':

The following video is a slideshow of just a few of the better bucks that visited the feed station in daylight from 8/16 thru today until I pulled SD cards from TCs this afternoon. All photographs are in consecutive order by time stamp. It DOES NOT include all the daylight bucks, however it will clearly show that all the bucks in the area or have made their presence known over the past few days are still in velvet. None are showing any signs of any velvet loss as of yet. I also included a couple of extra regulars within the video as well. Nearly all of the mature bucks have been staying well within the shadows of darkness since May basically. I have not included any TC captures of those most mature bucks within this video nor will I going forward until the 2021/22 season is over with for the most part, and I'm sure many of you will understand. I do have plans on visiting a different property this weekend to hang a couple of new trail cameras. I have high hopes of seeing some good bucks at that location after reviewing all the data from those TCs after a couple of weeks. I will consider sharing whatever I might capture from that property with you all a few weeks from now.

Trail camera slideshow on a few of the bucks in daylight over the past few days plus a few more extras. There were several other bucks in daylight as well, however I left them out because they were much younger bucks. All of the most mature bucks continue to stay in the shadows of darkness, visiting either just before daylight or much later in the evening hours. All of the bucks show no signs of velvet loss as of yet in the area. There are also a good number of antlerless deer that continue to visit the feed station daily.

12:30 a.m. Saturday - August 21, 2021 - 'HEAR THE HOWL':

Standing in the middle of my yard tonight listening to wildlife, and I absolutely love it!

Granted, I'm bit F'ed up, but even hearing the howls of coyotes just makes me want to grab my rifle and get after'em.

Anyways,,,

Thought I'd share just a tiny bit of my life in paradise with you all. Just so grateful that I'm still able to do the shit I absolutely love the most in life outside of my family, which is to hunt!

Tomorrow morning, I'm heading out before the crack of dawn to scout a new property that I'm just so thrilled to do.

Gonna set a couple of TCs after what I observe from afar. Should be a fun mornin.

Until next time 'TOO'ville, everyone have a great weekend!

I can almost smell the new season right around the corner... Can't f'en wait!!!

Denny, hope you were sitting outside last night listening to Mother Nature enjoying a nice cold brew...
Im also headed out this morning to the great outdoors to put some finishing touches on a friend's tree stand... Might even take it down and move it if I can find a better tree now that I know the pattern of a certain buck he's after... He insists we leave it as it will be TOO much work... Gotta get a chuckle out of that as I'm the one doing all the work and I've got 20+ years on him... These younguns... But I'd like to see him get a certain deer he's got his eye on known as Socks... Have a great day...

4:00 p.m. Saturday - August 21, 2021 - 'REVUP YOUR ENGINES':

I got up a tad bit later than what I hoped for this morning. I don't use an alarm clock, I usually get up just before the crack of dawn everyday, but this morning I woke up right at day break. Of course, I planned to be on the road at dark, but getting up a tad late didn't really matter because we had a good fair amount of fog. After I filled my coffee thermos full with hot fresh coffee, I immediately hit the road headed to a different property to do some early morning scouting, and then hang TCs at locations based on what I observed and discovered.

I arrived at the property just before the fog started to lift, which was perfect. I jumped into my mucks, grabbed my binos, then hiked to the middle of the bean field in between rows. Once I felt I could cover the entire area with the binos, I sat down and watched the field edges for about an hour in a half.

I spotted the first group of three deer about 10 minutes right after I sat down, approximately 300 yards away. Shortly after, I spotted a few more that were slowly making their way towards the first group from the other end of the field, where they popped out of the woods and then slow walked right along the field/wood edge towards the other deer.

All of them were antlerless deer, and they stuck around for about 20-30 maybe, IDK cause I forgot my cellphone in the truck. I sat for another half an hour or so before I headed back to my pickup.

Once at the truck, I poured me some hot coffee, put on an pair of latex gloves and prepared the trail cameras, putting brand new batteries in them, set the date and time, installed an SD card, turn them on and tested. Then I grabbed two LW climbing sticks, a 50# bag of whole corn, one TC hanger and took off to the location where I saw the first set of deer that made their presence known.

I found a good spot for the TC, not far from a main deer run from what I could tell, hung it in a tree pointed to where I saw the deer hang out, right after I laid out 50# bag of whole corn down along the edge of the field and in between two rows of beans, spreading it real thin.

Then I turned back around and headed to the truck.

Once back of the pickup, I pealed off my first pair of latex gloves, grabbed another cup of hot coffee and took a break.

After I finished that cup, I put on another new pair of latex gloves on, grabbed another TC and another 50# bag of whole corn, grabbed a TC hanger, and once again, I took off to the other location where I saw the second group of deer.

Once I reached that approximate area, I hiked into the woods about 30 yards or a bit further and found one hellava heavy producer of an Oak tree, plus I found at least four different deer beds nearby along with plenty of deer signs in the immediate area.

So, I placed the other TC up into another tree that covers the area where I could tell the deer were coming from in search of acorns, which is approximately 20-30 yards from those beds I found.

I spread out the other 50# bag of whole corn in the same area where the acorns where dropping in the area, right where I could tell deer were scrapping the ground trying to get to them, just off the deer run that leads to the bean field.

Each TC is in the top middle portion of photographs. The bottom photo has the heavy producer Oak tree where my climbing sticks are resting up against.

Then I headed back to the truck for the final time. Along the way, I discovered tons of fresh deer tracks, small and big. Once I arrived to the back of the pickup, I swapped boots, grabbed my coffer thermos, jumped into the cab and took off for home.

Along the way, I had this cute couple cruise right on by me.

Got home just before 11:00 a.m. and made me a nice big breakfast.

After that, I swapped SD cards at the feed station.

Just some of the daylight bucks still in velvet. This is a photograph slideshow of trail camera captures from 8/19 thru 8/21/21, all in consecutive order by timestamp. One of the larger 8 points is showing signs of velvet loss thus far. There has been an explosion of wildlife the past few days. The following video that I will soon post will show just how much deer activity and other wildlife have been making their presence known at the feed station over the past two in half days.

I won't be visiting that property for at least two weeks or better, so, those TCs are pretty much soaker cameras.

I had a wonderful first half of the day folks!

The dear Lord blessed me once again! :)

Here's the follow up video of the trail camera that captures videos rather than photographs at the feed station, starting from 8/19 through 8/21/21 until noon thirdy where you will get to see that I bumped a couple of deer when I swapped the SD cards yesterday.

Deer activity and more at the feed station from the first hour of 8/19 through 8/21/21 until 12:30 p.m., just before where you see me pulling the SD card from the video trail camera. The entire video is sped up by 4x of all the captured content, which is in consecutive order by date and timestamp. Most of all the wildlife activity occurred during daylight over the course of the past few days.

4:00 p.m. Thursday - August 26, 2021 - 'DEER REPORT':

Quick status update of the local deer herd.
_______________________________________________

First, none of the bucks have lost any velvet, including the one eight point that shows signs of going hard. His velvet status has not changed since I posted photographs of him from last Saturday.

In a previous post within my journal, I asked about a doe that I thought was pregnant. Well, she most definitely was because I have another new born fawn that is visiting the feed station daily with its mother now. That brings the total of regular visiting fawns up to five now; one pair of twins, and three singles. Definitely a late birth, or late breed, however you look at it.

A funny TC capture of a future stud obviously. This is not the latest mother that just had the fawn, but rather of the twins that were born a couple of months ago.

The feed station is visited by the same number of deer as I have posted previously over the past month or better, day and night, but mostly during the daylight hours.

I also captured some TC daylight photographs of a couple of the most mature local bucks in the area over the past week, which is the first time in while.

This is one TC capture of VEGAS of several during daylight over the past week during one of the foggy mornings. THUNDER made his presence known as well and appears to be healthy in every way. BTW, that is not a TC capture of THUNDER above, the first photograph. That's a buck project instead.

I also continue to have the same wild turkey with her four young ones visiting multiple times everyday since she discovered the feed station a little over a month ago. She doesn't seem to mind bringing her little ones around first thing in the morning when the deer first show up to feed, then midday in the afternoon and once again usually sometime late afternoon.

That's all I have for now and I will post the first hard horned buck as soon as he makes his presence known in the area.

Thought some might enjoy seeing other wildlife species behaving in their natural form.

Sorry @bowhunter1023 ; was having some technical difficulty on my end for some reason, but anyhow, good question!

Let me speak plainly

You should know by now that I'm a pretty thorough guy, but it's a good question and it deserves an honest thorough answer.

First, the short answer is - Windows 10 Home - OS Build - 19043 - Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3530.0 - Photo - Viewing & editing.
