She picked her own spot and it all came together at 7:05. She had just fallen asleep on my shoulder when I woke her up and told her a deer was headed our way. He came down a scrape line and then turned into the woods leaving her a 25 yard shot. Had to move the tripod to get her set up since she preferred to sit on my lap. She made a perfect shot and he went about 50 yards. She said dad my heart was beating out of my chest. Lol I said mine too! What a morning.

My 10 yr old got her first taste of heartbreak tonight. Had a 6pt come in and he caught her moving and what would've been an easy 40yd open shot turned into a 60yd awkward angle shot that she couldn't pull off. I told her it's all part of it, she's pretty bummed. Back at it with big sis in the blind tomorrow.
