Dropped my checks in the mail. Not liking it at all, but it is done and time to move on. Wonder how many illegal immigrants I was able to support? Wonder how many obama phones I bought? Wonder how much of my money is actually going to be used for something worthwhile? Well, I suppose there is no sense dwelling on it. I have to get up and work in the morning. Nose to the grindstone so i can cover my payroll, insurance, fuel bills, equipment payments, advertising, repairs, buy materials, and of course pay more taxes. Vicious cycle.

I had big plans to go listen for turkeys this morning at sunrise. Well, I guess the McDonalds and frozen yogurt at 9:00 oclock last night was a terrible idea, because I couldn't sleep for nothing. Here it is about 9:00 a.m. instead of sunrise...... fugg.

Rained out at the mulch bins. Sat from 9-noon and only talked to two people. Neither one of them were customers. Oh well. Time well wasted talking to a couple friends on a dreary Saturday morning I suppose. Not so sure this is even "dump worthy."

Not necessarily a dump post here, but here's what I do. I just pick all the thing I want my money to go toward (military families, ammo for our troops, weapons r&d...etc.) then I decide when I pay all my money that it's going there and not to the useless waste. Someone else is paying for that. My money goes toward the things that are worth it. Am I a bit looney? Yeah, but it helps me not be pissed every time I see thousands and thousands of dollars coming out of my accounts. There, now that was life changing, wasn't it?:smiley_coolpeace:

Managed to get a good bit done outside today despite about 45 minutes of weedeating in the rain. Trying to decide what to do now. I hate inside chores!

Probably going to finish cleaning up my man room since it still has shit strewn about from the laundry room remodel. I need to build the base for my sink and plumb it in TOO. At least I can drink beer and do all that!!!

Im sick of dealing with my wife and contractors. I cant keep either one happy. In the process of redoing our backyard and putting a gable roof over an existing concrete pad. It will get better in a week or so I hope.

That's funny, 'cause the taxes I paid this year went to the nozzle on a cruze missile...didn't know you had the rest of it!

Thanks Willy! I have one piece of consolation this year. Since taking in my nephew, we have seen lots of firsthand waste in the system. However much waste I have witnessed though, there is some money for several good programs for the kids. They do get the medical card. If not for this it would be quite difficult for most of us to consider taking in kids in these situations. While what comes out of my pocket to raise Geoffrey and what I pay in for taxes FAR outweigh what we are getting back in medical benefits, at least I know he and other children like him are being taken care of.

Since this is the dump thread, i will dump too. hahah Would have been a lot cheaper to have taken these kids a couple years earlier instead of pandering to the BS his parents kept dishing out. Unbelievable the waste of tax payer's dollars his parents are. What a waste of money I have seen in money spent within the system. Hideous!

Job cancelled...there goes $1200 in two days! This economy is really hurting people. The woman is affraid she is going to loose her job because they called her to a meeting today when she came back from maternity Friday. She heard through the grape vine she has 90 days.

That sucks, Beener. However, my entire day spent as part of the grand jury duty selection process sucks as well. I'm just burning money as I sit here. My time is not worth anything as I sit and wait to see if they need me on a jury. Fuggg.

Not something I should dump about as it was important to go, but I accomplished jack squat today. Spent the day supporting my wife and her family at her Grandma's funeral. I know I shouldn't complain, but it sure didn't get anything accomplished. Rushed home to get Geoffrey off the taxi/bus. Erin changed and took off to get Garrett to his vision therapy. As soon as Graci gets home it is off to softball and then leaving early to take her to dance. dang. Just unproductive as can be, but in all reality I should be feeling fortunate to be able to take the time to do these things. Still frustrating though. Now you guys know why there are times I post at 2-3am after finishing up paperwork. Not enough hours in the day.
