Smokers Welcome: Official Scent Smoker Thread

The morning we killed this one, Sean was running late and arrived at my house 30 minutes after I'd told him to. I felt rushed, and just about skipped smoking up as I hate to miss a sunrise. We did however fire the thing up and spent 10 minutes getting ourselves and gear smoked. I pointed him to the stand just as the sun was cresting the horizon and went on to mine. He shot this deer at about 8. It came in down wind and never lifted it's head. He shot him at 12 yards. It's worth the few extra minutes, even if you are a little late to the tree!

Good point Brock!! Proof's in the pudding!

You and I are hooking up and making THE SUPER SMOKER! With Brock's smokers and our extraordinary understanding of ventilation and smoke flowage and all that good stuff we will be millionaires!

Hahaha! Guess the 12yrs spent as a fire fighter were good for more than just saving a few houses and such. lol

I am going to bail on you though Don. Schedule is too busy, and this is Brock's baby. I will do my best to send everyone his way. Why reinvent the wheel when it is already very effective and very affordable?

I know you were joking. I also know you are going to love the results you find from the stand this year using the Scent Smoker!

Usually not. Just put in enough for the job at hand. After a time or two, you'll know how much that is.

It can but it doesn't get TOO bad if you put it in a tightly sealed container. I lightly, really lightly smoke my clothes and put them in the large Coleman camping bags....they are like a huge zip lock.

I don't know the smell these guys are talking about, so I don't worry about the presmoke. Everyone's routine is different, but the results are the same!

Smoke a cigarette half way and let it go out. Re-light that cig two hours later...that smell. Not near as bad with hardwood smoke but I smell it. As long as the smoked garments are stored air tight it will not get that stale smell.

Even if it gets the stale smell, once you resmoke it is gone for the most part.

I bought a new tote at Wally World because mine got a big ole hole knocked in it last year.

I bought some weatherstrip to go around the lid and seals it up nice and tight. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1379876037.068402.jpg
We're gonna get her fired up and take this baby for a test drive.

I think I might have over done it a little with the hickory chips!

You can never have enough chips...:) What you're gonna find out is that the smoker will get gunked up & the lid will be hard to open up. I keep my lid unhinged all the time & then take a steel brush to clean up the rim & inside of lid for easy on & off.
