I on the other hand smoke all my box stands. Sometimes on opening day. I just take the smoker along and smoke away when it slows down.

Brock. I was down your way today around Washington courthouse and was driving behind a guy on a mid 90s model blue Chevy that didn't have a tailgate. In the back was a logging chain and an old milk crate. Sitting atop the crate was you guessed it. A scent smoker. I could see the decal on the bellow so it had to be one of yours. Good stuff.

What do you guys use in your smokers? I'm looking into ordering one.

Wood chips like you would use for BBQ smoking.

Hickory is what I use in mine. I have Amazon Prime, so I buy these ones when I have an order of $25 or more. $2.47 a bag can't be beat!

I'm like Jesse, I use the hickory chips for the main wood chip in the smoker. I also had a couple of older bags of apple and cherry I used up the last couple years where I'd just add a small hand full on top of the hickory, along with the occasional pine cone and pine needles.

Go figure... I haven't a clue whom that may have been. If there were Natty Light cans in the back of the truck, I might have a guess. :)

I had some hickory chips I was using last year. They ran out but our wood pile is right next to the back door and there's always splintering chunks I can break off the split logs pretty quickly and easily. A few times I just walked out under the maples and picked up a handful of twigs and broke them up into small pieces, tossed them in and hit them with the turbo torch, which works fine TOO. I killed my buck last year after smoking up with a bunch of twigs.

Never thought of that.

Can't really add much to what they said. Once you get yours let me know, I'll have you over and give you some pointers so you don't catch you or your girlfriends hair in fire.:D

i about caught my clothes on fire last year, im on the fence about taking it with me bear hunting, im just not sure if they will react the same as deer, what your guys opinion on that i use it all the time up here while hunting but do you think it will have the same effect on a black bear also, i could just try it and let everyone know how it works out.

Give it a try! I've had several people claim it to be the magic bullet for bears but I've never personally tried it as I've never been bear hunting.
