This is a high fat, moderate protien, extremely low carb method of eating. You should get 50%+ of your calories from healthy fats, one gram of protien per pound of lean muscle mass (Actual Weight - (Actual Weight * Body Fat %) and need to restrict carbs to under 100 per day, especially the first month. I shoot for 2,400 calories a day (and try to burn and least 600 through exercise). I eat gluten free 95% of the time and 99% of the time I am eating without consuming artificial ingredients or added sugars. I stay under 25 grams of sugar per day.

As I said, I feel great. My bowels are regulated and I no longer get cramps and after eating. I sleep better than I have my whole life. I wake up refreshed and without all the aches and pains. I am a much healthier person and it has been well worth the sacrifices!

You definitely got me thinking about this meal plan Jesse. I've gone back through and read your comments on how you evolved into the Primal type diet and it's something I need to try, actually me and my family need to try. Also ran across a post I made about a year ago saying I was at 208 that time which is likely where I am at now or slightly higher. Just afraid of that damn scale LOL.

Weighed in at 209 this morning. It's been a decade (or more) since I've seen that on the scale. I'm down 31 pounds since January of 2015 and 18.5 pounds since January of this year. My goal is to show up at the TOO shoot at 200. That's my goal weight and the weight I'd be happy to maintain.

Atta boy ninja! Lot of hard work in the last 16months, keep pushing and I hope the lifestyle changes will help you maintain. Don't let us read this a year from now and you be back at 220+!

No mas! This is the 4th time in the last 11 years I have lost 20+ pounds. Tired of the yo-yo effect. I'm older enough now to learn from those mistakes. It's just not worth it. I feel SO much better now it's not funny. When I get to 200, I don't intend on seeing 210-215 again so long as I'm physically able to control it!

I've been yo-yo'ing for 18 months now. Before My lungs fugged up, I was down to 218lbs from 243, mostly by limiting pop, and junk food. Since then it's been steroid regiments on and off and different meds that affect appetite one way or another. I had ballooned back up to 245lbs about 2 months ago. So I started snacking healthier, switching to Diet Pepsi and lots more water. Havent really fried too much food either. Just got back down to 232lb at Dr last week. Started a whole new Med regiment with a steroid stepdown, so Im hungry as hell. Stocking up up pretzels, celery, and fat free ranch for my snacking. My Dr's seems super optimistic about my prognosis, which it looks like if I respond to meds like they hope, then I should be back to almost full lung capabilities, minus the damage done already. I'm trying to dedicate myself to being healthier so I can enjoy my kid's life going forward. I just need my wife to stop buying her junk food. She has High metabolism and she is a nurse, so she snacks on shit whenever she is hungry with no visible effects.

Ryan, I feel the pain. I'm married to a high metabolism nurse as well. She eats well, but still snacks on shit. I forced her to stop bringing it home. Because I do the shopping and cooking, it's also easier to keep her in line.

Best of luck buddy. Hope you get back to feeling normal.

Goal weight achieved! Weighed in at 205 this morning. I feel fantastic, so much so, I ran 5 miles without stopping last night with a 9:24 pace. My cognitive function is maybe the best it's ever been. Feeling damn good.

The rest of you fools have been awfully quiet lately! Surely someone is having some success other than myself. Do share!

I weighed in at 204 on the dot for 4 mornings in a row. Guess I'm where I'm going to be for a little while!

I am down 32 at the moment. Took two weeks off of my normal routine and gained 2 back (average).

My biggest issue is that I need a workout partner. The only aspect I like of working out is the competition (with myself) and the outcome. I can't push it without someone there. I abhor running, just to run.

I would be happy at 215-220

Congrats Jesse!!!! Keep at it Charles!!!

I've been more of a lurker here than a participant but started working out on our elliptical this week as well as cutting down on my glute and carb intake. I'm right at 220 and hope to get down to 200 again someday! I hate carrying around this extra weight and would like to be able to get back into ALL might size 34 pants and shorts!

After about 3-4 months of being nicotine free my metabolism took a huge poo poo!!! I went from 195-196 to 220-225 in like a week without changing my diet or eating habits! My pant size grew 2" as well! Time to do something about it but it won't be fun!!!

It sucks that the older you get that your metabolism slows down that's for sure!!!

Good luck to everyone else out there fighting your weight and are trying to drop some!
