We'll guys the screwing around is over. I hit 200 on the scale this morning. A year ago i was 206 and went down to 180. Then slowly crept back to 200. I guess eating 2,200 calories for lunch at Wendys isn't a good maintenance plan.

Stats.
30 yo
5'10.5"
200 lbs
BMI 27.8

Today consisted of a slimfast for breakfast. 190 cal

Snack
Red delicious Apple 55 cal

Lunch
Turkey sammich on wheat light mayo and no cheese. 350 cal
Red delicious Apple 55 cal

Snack
Zone perfect bar 180 cal

Diner
Spring mix salad x2servings 40 cal
balsamic vinaigrette dressing x2 80 cal.

Marlboro Menthol Light 100's 0 cal
Coffee 0 cal

895 total calories.

Lets see if i can loose 20 lbs in 5 weeks. 4lbs a week. .57 lbs a day.

WITH NO EXTRA EXERCISE.. :smiley_coolpeace:

Yada yada yada unhealthy, starvation mode, blah blah blah... Whatev.

I can't get whooping cough again for another 30 years. Maybe could go drink crick water and get giardia again. rotflmao

HAHA! Good luck dude. I think you are capable of doing anything you want to do, so I'm betting you make it happen. IMO, losing it is not the hardest part, it's maintaining it. I finally hit my 40 pound goal on Friday. I was back up 2 pounds after this weekend, but had a great workout today on a fast day, so I should drop at least a pound today. Tomorrow will be a long day for me as well, so I should be back to 195 by the weekend. Hoping to shed 5 more pounds by July 23...

Oh I agree. But i didn't exactly try to keep it off. And it took me 6 months to gain 20 of it back... I kid you not.. One week we had a contest at work. My goal was to eat more calories at lunch than i did the previous day and do that for a whole 5 days.. We started the bar at 2,000.. I managed to get 3,100 calories in one meal at Five Guys burger joint on Friday. That's just lunch! I would then go home and drink a liter of coke and half a bag of chips for Dinner plus whatever else i wanted. I was rocking a 4,000+ Calorie a day diet.. lmao.

If i didn't smoke and drink a pot of coffee a day i would weigh 400 pounds i guarantee it.

Had 835 calories over 5 meals yesterday.
No soda when I usually drink a 2 liter a day.
Half my standard coffee intake and minus my morning mocha.
More water than usual.

Scales said 197.5 this morning. I zeroed them out to make sure. Huh. I don't think I starved off 2.5 lbs in a 24 hour period. But whatever it is ill take it. lmao

Down to 194. I've been killing my workouts lately thanks to a change from the Cellucor C4 to the Gaspari Super Pump Max. I ran a 7:15 mile on the treadmill yesterday, a full 25 seconds faster than my previous best. With the C4, I had trouble finishing my cardio workouts due to cramps in my right side. I don't get that with the Super Pump and the mental focus is much sharper with it as well. I'll attempt a new bench max this Friday and I'm hoping to see 265-270. I'm still trading fat for muscle, so my BMI is dropping faster than my weight. Physically, I look and feel better than I have in years. We were looking at a picture of me from February this year and the difference in my face is pretty crazy. Still ugly, but not nearly as porky!!!

Here's a look at how things stood when I started...

At 6' 1" and 235 pounds, I had a BMI of 31.

BMI is between 30-34.99 (Obese Class 1)

Individuals with a BMI of 30-34.99 are in a physically unhealthy condition, which puts them at risk for serious ilnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, gall bladder disease, and some cancers. This holds especially true if you have a larger than recommended Waist Size. These people would benefit greatly by modifying their lifestyle. Ideally, see your doctor and consider reducing your weight by 5-10 percent. Such a weight reduction will result in considerable health improvements.

Here is how things stand today...

At 6' 1" and 194 pounds, I have a BMI of 25.59.

BMI is between 25 and 29.9 (Overweight)

People falling in this BMI range are considered overweight and would benefit from finding healthy ways to lower their weight, such as diet and exercise. Individuals who fall in this range are at increased risk for a variety of ilnesses. If your BMI is 27-29.99 your risk of health problems becomes higher. In a recent study an increased rate of blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease was recorded at 27.3 for women and 27.8 for men. It may be a good idea to check your Waist Circumference and compare it with the recommended limits.

I have a 32" waist, so I'm not TOO concerned about being "overweight". Do I still have weight to lose? Yes. Probably 10 pounds worth. I think most of the "ideal weight" charts are out of their mind! I looked at one the other day that had me listed at 160-178. I'd be a Skinny McKinny at that weight. Even the "large frame" weight was low IMO, and I don't consider myself as a large frame. (With a 44" chest and 16" biceps, I'm not a big guy.)

Jesse - I take those charts with a grain of salt now for my body composition, when I was at the lightest I have ever been a few years ago (lighter than I was all through HS) I was still listed at moderately obese. I had no more weight to lose, I was actually losing muscle the more weight I tried to lose at that point, so I started ignoring that BMI Chart, it just didn't apply to me.

Yea I am back on this train again, sitting at a desk is not helping me. Swearing off soda and fast food. I hiked for an hour and a half tonight. Not sure how many miles, but I looked it up at that's something like 1,000 calories burned. Holy heck!

I started a week ago July 5th at 256lbs .I am 31 yrs old 6ft tall an wear about a 36 to 38 waist..My short term goal is around 230lb by oct 1st(so my harness vest fits better)and down in the 210lb range by say March2012..I cut down on Beer, cut out most all soda an added tons of water.I am eating about 1700 to 1800 cal a day...I dropped 6 lbs in one week TOO put me at a even 250lbs..My energy levels are up when at work..I work outside but not in direct sunlight all the time..So the 5 days of heat an sweating might have helped the weight loss..Once I get TOO my goal I do not plan to return to my negative eating habits of the past..

Good luck to everyone!..An i have to say if i weighed what some of ya did..I wouldn't be worried about weight loss

Well, I doubt I see 190 before the reunion this weekend. I was down to 192.5 this past weekend, but have settled back in at 194 the past few days. Still seeing progress in the fat loss department, but I'm gaining muscle at an equal rate right now. I'd say 195ish is going to be my steady weight for a while. No complaints though. I lost 40 pounds in four months and I've kept it all off, plus a pound or two here and there, for an entire month. The battle now is to keep up the pace and make it a part of my life going forward. So far, so good! :pickle:

I put on a few pounds while on vacation and I have been stuck using the treadmill due to the heatwave. This is a tough time of year to exercise.

Nice job fellas, I've hit the diet pretty hard the last 2 weeks and been hitting the treadmill 3 times a week for 1-2 miles each time. I won't weigh in again for 30 days as I fluctuate so much the 3-4 lbs up and down just aggravate me. Hoping to see at least a 6-10 lb drop in 30 days, we will see though.

Just trying to stop eating out and drinking as much pop. Cut back beer drinking to one week night and one weekend night (this is the toughest part for me), and keep my diet at 80%.

Just need to vent a little. I finally lost the weight I put on during vacation, but my running has not recovered. I feel so slow. My per mile pace is up almost 20 seconds! My quads seem like they give out somewhere around the 3 mile mark everytime out. I actually had to stop and walk the other day during a 3.5 mile run. I have not done that in over 3 years. I'd like to blame the hunidity, but that happens every year. Any way I was hoping to run a race on Aug. 13th, but mentally and maybe physically I just don't feel ready. I'm taking tonight off after running the last two evenings. Maybe the running will be better this weekend.

Perhaps you need a respite from running? Ever think about taking 7-10 days off? I have never been a prolific runner like you but I took a few months off from running due to my son's involvement in baseball. When I finally got back to running I had taken nearly a minute off my mile time - granted, I lost endurance and distance and am currently working on rebuilding that but my average pace is faster. I would encourage you to run the race on Aug. 13th as maybe the competition will push you some and help you to regain some of the mental aspect of running. Good luck, buddy, you'll be back to old form in no time.
