What an amazing animal! This really seems to be the year of giants hitting the dirt. Congratulations to both of you guys! And kudos to Mason for keeping it together and executing a perfect shot... that’s no easy task on a deer of that caliber!

I have no idea. We did not weigh him. We dropped him off at our trusted processor this afternoon. In 30 years of doing deer, this is the highest scoring deer he has ever done by two inches. He said the most meat he had ever returned to a customer was 126 lbs which would mean that deer dressed at around 250. He said he think this deer will be similar. We shall see.

Masons and I shared our last youth hunt together today. It netted his largest buck to date, which is also his first buck ever killed with a firearm. By Buckmasters scoring, he has 24 scorable points and a final score of 234 5/8”!

That’s so cool too watch... Too see Mason progress through his years as a deer Hunter and remembering his early Stroud’s harvests, too where he is now, well that’s a treat right there.
