Congrats all the way around on another outstanding hunting season to both you and Mason! You guys definitely got it goin on, that is for sure!
Haha. “Can’t eat the horns “! Lol. My new battle cry.... lol.No shame in that buck Brock. You put others first many times before yourself. Thats the way it goes. Only so many trophy deer to go around. I bet he will taste good!
We have a 60s model Marlin in 22 that was my father in laws favorite squirrel gun. That thing will drive nails. Likely the best shooting 22 I’ve ever fired. I’ve had it along a time or two with Jamie. He can attest to that guns accuracy. As I recall, I shot one through the head at about 200 yards, across a ravine with a nasty crosswind and the sun in my eyes. We packed a lunch for Jamie and sent him off to fetch the dead squirrel. In all seriousness, it is a great shooting gun and a joy to shoot. I will say at this point the Henry is a fun gun. Tomorrow I’ll find out how well it shoots. With the shorter barrel I would be surprised if it shoots as well as my late father in law’s.I really like lever guns
I have a Henry in .44
I can’t wait for a review on the .22

Oh no, the cricket shot was easy. The one I referenced took a little luck, it was pretty challenging. You did that with the Cricket. Unless you did it again.
We were just talking about getting dad one of these for Christmas. We always joke when we buy him something to do with hunting we always tell him we will get it back one of these days so we might as well buy him something we like as well.
