Not yet…won’t have the grill until after Wednesday.Traeger makes a seasoning for all of them and they’re pretty good.
We seasoned the grill as per their instructions.
Have you downloaded the app for it yet?

Didn’t know they had an app as I don’t have the owners manual in hand. I’ll download it now to get a jump on things. You can download the app now and then register it and season it when you get it. The app covers everything you need from maintenance too recipes too warranty.
I know quite a few guys who swear by the seasonings from MeatchurchBuddy of mine told me about a website “how to bbq right”. He’s got stuff for sale also, along with recipes. I’m sure I’ll try a couple of his rubs but also want opinions of what everyone here uses. After trying a few, I’m sure I’ll have my favorites.![]()
Damn good. I really like the flavor of wild pig. We did some of the loins a few weeks back and damn they're goodHow did the boar leg turn out, @Redhunter1012
I've made a number of the recipes from the How to BBQ Right website and they are damn good. I've also made a number from Hey Grill Hey, also pretty solid. Project Smoke and any other books from Steven Raichlen are worth it too. As for seasonings/rubs, I mix a lot of my own but have also had pretty good luck with Spiceology (the MeatEater crew has a number of wild game blends on there).Buddy of mine told me about a website “how to bbq right”. How often do you clean the fire pot? The users manual says every 20 hours…thinking it can’t hurt to clean it after every use. We’ve got the same one…
Try it and see how bad it looks. I do the 20 and it’s about right. How often do you clean the fire pot? The users manual says every 20 hours…thinking it can’t hurt to clean it after every use.
