Do you have any cams set up that aren’t on corn?

Seems like a lot of the pictures posted are over the dumped corn.

if you expand your net of cameras around the 1250 acres maybe you’d better be able to capture the natural movement of the deer to include in the pre-brief to giles

I apologize for being a crump this mornin!

I have used trail cameras throughout the property over the years. Mature deer are heavily impacted by trail cameras. Doesn't matter what manufacturer or where you hang them, but the higher, the better in my humble opinion.

What trail camera photos shared from off the property today is all that I use, [2]. Taking out the other trail cameras everywhere else has made all the difference in having the local deer herd move much like they used to.

I will occasionally use an older analog type trail camera to help assist in narrowing down a specific deer possibly, and I have done that, but it's hardly required now that I have a real sense/understanding of the natural deer movement for this region/area of the state, which is where I live.

I hope that you can forgive me for being a jerk this morning. I just woke up and needed some coffee. I should have been patient in responding to you and I failed. I know that you've been on the site for some time. You absolutely right, I should not assume anything from this place

My intent in asking the original question was to see if you utilized a network of cameras to track movement to and from the corn as well as around the property.

Not a problem, and if you would like to get further insight and/or thoughts of mine, please feel free to contact me directly. I have no corks or corms in sharing what I know when it comes to deer on a more personable level, if you know what I mean.

This may seem to be a bit cheesy on my part, but I have devoted my life just over the past three years to specially improve the deer herd in this area. This is something that I never intended on doing, but here I am, and all that I've been doing seems to be working for the most part. Neighbors/hunters are happy, they benefit on my behalf. I am an animal lover, and I try to do everything within my power to make things better throughout my neck of the woods for them. It's what I do nowadays.

We have had great luck with spreading cams across our properties to understand a deer's core areas of travel. They let you know where deer may be on their feet during daylight when you can actually hunt them, versus where they head for a midnight snack.
I credit my two best deer from having camera intel, and therefore my stand selection for that day's hunt.
As with anything, deer become used to what is in there environment. They will even pattern the times to avoid feeders based on the daylight hours when they are re-stocked.

That's wonderful!

After using them on this farm for a good number of years now, I have learned quite a bit about them myself. The trail cameras that I use today makes life more convenient for me, no doubt about it, but I do not need them. I use them more for security purposes than anything if truth be told, but I do like seeing the deer too!

10:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2023: 'NO HUNT/Last 24hr Time Lapse'

I hunted yesterday during the evening and I had to get down early due to some strong winds from the rainy weather front that pushed through at approximately 6:30 p.m., and it rained fairly steady all night and throughout most of the day today as well. Very little early and midday deer action was captured on trail camera today, however around 4:00 p.m., approximately an hour after the rain quit, deer started showing up at both the main feed site and one of the other hunting setups. It's been active with deer around here ever since so far tonight.

I saw two antlerless deer during yesterday's evening hunt that were out of bow range. They were on the move, cruising through the woods that came from an open field. That was it.

From your experience do you think certain deer are more tolerant of smaller game?

I ask that because it looks like the buck in the post above doesn’t mind the raccoon
