Skunked yesterday. This morning slept in. Saw 3 does running when I grabbed fire wood from the porch. Hiked/ still hunted 2 ish miles at Burr Oak, saw a lone doe (maybe button buck). Sat on my farm tonight, saw my regular mommy doe with twins and two other foes later. No bucks... our doe herd...

Nothing seen here this morning. Hearing shots in the distance, must be drive going on. Neither boy saw anything either, very nocturnal on camera. Did find an awesome rub line while taking a long way around walking out. Congrats Savanna 🎉

Pulled chips today. First time since gun season. My 2 shooters survived! Now to pin down movement!? Of course my first night back in the woods and a neighbor decided to empty his gun cabinet, constant shooting for half hour.

Glad to see more firefighters here! Jackson Twp. Grove City. (I-71 @270, south end) 😂 That was never stuck in coals... Believe it or not that was scrubbed and hosed off. Black leather front to start with. Liners/ flaps washed regularly, too. That was year 10 on that hat, got a brand new one...

Firefighter Paramedic for a suburb of Columbus, also on a Water Rescue Task Force that’s travels anywhere east of Texas for hurricanes, flooding, etc. Chief of local Fire Dept as well. Live a farm and backwoods life in Athens County on my time off. Raising my kids in the outdoors with work...

Heard 16 shots so far. Must be a drive going on somewhere close by. I’m sitting tight near heavy bedding.

Hunting with Dad this afternoon. All settled into the blind. Overlooking wooded ravine between hay fields. Logging clear cut to our west. Niece shot a nice 8 this morning, she walked up on it bedded down. Perfect heart shot, it never got up.

Wow, super windy! Heard very little shooting today compared to normal. Holding down my ground blind today. Glad I decided against the climber. Saw a mommy with little doe tagging along. Holding out. Good luck all!
