Don't feel bad Cotty. I am doing the same. Feed the kids. Make the kids pick up after themselves. Takes more time to make them do it, then it does if i were to just pick the shit up! However, they don't learn any responsibility if I do it.

Kids are out in the snow right now. When they come in and we get their wet clothes off i am heading out to split some firewood. Might have to take a picture of the firewood splitting setup for you guys. The kids will be watching a movie while Mommy sleeps today. She worked last night and works tonight.

We're about to start our Christmas lunch here at work....closing at noon...then a bunch of us are going bowling?!? hare-brained idea that sounded kinda fun

Had our little gift exchange this morning at the office- I gave my office co-workers toilet plungers and a tool called "the Stick" used for cleaning hair clogs out of drains. I got them the heavy-duty plungers with the fold-out on the bulb....those things are the bomb....believe it or not, they were all happy and excited and will actually get some use out of this gift.

No danger of re-gifting here.

Here's a picture of my buddy Fred

Wish I had the camera with me. I counted 77 turkeys in the field and there were plenty more. Kept loosing count.

Last day at work here... next week is just gonna be family time & hunting time. We already got the Holiday traveling done last weekend, bouncing back & forth between Astabula & Mahoning County. Just gotta try and stay focused, finish up some busy work, send a few emails back, and then officially check out later today.

Should kick things off with a good goose hunt in the morning. A field I hunt was holding 100+ birds at 11:00am this morning. Hope they decide to come back again tomorrow. Nothing like a delicious Christmas goose.

Beentown, When I lived in sunbury there was a field in the winter I think northeast of town that would have huge amounts of turkeys in it like that.

The one off of Hartford (which is my back yard) is connected to the Conservation Club and it is full quite often. When did you live here TM?

so we had our office lunch party then went bowling for a couple of hours - what a blast!
Boss said he thinks a new tradition was born.
I bowled a 112 first game, then 164 then a couple in the 140's
Now I'm off till Mon AM.....merry Christmas it feels great.

Yep. Cool idea. Didn't get to split firewood today. Therefore didn't take any pictures of the setup. Will work on it.

Cotty- We know the beer was flowing. You are being redundant. Brothers watching Steeler game in your bar/man cave = you and your brothers getting schlitzed and not paying attention to your kids. We know what you meant. lol

Well, I hunt the stand and 2 sections of ladder in my front yard tonight (only good tree l o l and it was still TOO big) and it is a shit ton of work! I will have the handwarmers in and a pair of leather gloves but there will be some cold fingers tomorrow! It is a shit ton of work but I think that it will make me more mobile than just ladder stands. If it was before the snow I don't think it would be as big of a deal. I see why they do it in August! And in the morning when I'm humping the fuggin sticks and stand, 40 pounds of cold metal, across the corn field Greg-style (though I strapped it all together it friggin bulky, again, see why those guys use the lone wolfs and such) I'm sure I'll be cussin!

For the record, it took me an hour and a half...
