Wedding last year and one this year and lost a ton of access to cut was a lot of the reason. I wish my only responsibility was to cut, haul and stack firewood. LmaoLacked the time? You're Fuckin retired!!

The lack of respect from these young whipper-snappers these days. Invite him over for a beer then tell him to get off your lawn!Wedding last year and one this year and lost a ton of access to cut was a lot of the reason. I wish my only responsibility was to cut, haul and stack firewood. Lmao
It’s all good. You said long ago before I retired that I’d wonder how I got anything done, “NO TRUER STATEMENT.”The lack of respect from these young whipper-snappers these days. Invite him over for a beer then tell him to get off your lawn!
I’m going to let mine burn out and switch over to propane(full tank) to conserve what firewood I have left(1.5-2 cord) for next year.Let the boiler go out a couple days ago. Just about out of firewood. It's warm. It was time to shut her down. I've got to do a lot of gathering before next year.

No clue. Didn't measure the piles. Added some as the season progressed. I'd say it was my lightest winter of firewood consumption ever. 5-10 cords? Probably 6-8 is a close guess.@hickslawns
How many cords y’all been going through this winter?
I didn’t measure either but a shit load regardless of the mild winter. Figure at least 8-9 cords.@hickslawns

They have dumped 3 loads so far. I need to cut to length and split. They turned me onto a guy they dropped a couple trees for. Roughly 50' tall oak. Limbed them. Hauled it off. Dropped the trees whole. I was going to cut to 10' lengths and haul out with the bobcat but. . . .the home owner got impatient. He cut them to length and stacked them on the driveway. I told them 1-2 weeks before I could haul them. They said okay. It's been under 2 weeks but I guess he got antsy. Lol

Bigger last much longer so good call for leaving some stuff big for over night but as long as it’s not too difficult to maneuver.Virgin bucker, splitter and stacker here! Does the size of the split wood look good? Should I leave some bigger for overnight burns? I'm mainly processing the smaller stuff now, but I do have some big rounds. This is an Ash that fell from the Helene winds. I didn't want to be doing this in these temps!
