I had the smoker rolling in the blazer when I left this afternoon and the neighbor was getting the mail. I drove past and waved as smoke was rolling out of the passenger side:)

Hey Brock i have tried the smoker for the first time this year and have been using it since season came in and all i can say is WOW.I have had over 40 deer and 2 coyotes downwind of me and not one has busted me yet.I really went into this thinking their was no way this was going to work and figured i would try it early season and that would be it .LOL It is neat to watch them throw their nose up in the air and then just settle down and go about their business.I have also passed on several bucks that came in downwind.I actually shot one of the coyotes and almost got the one with it and they had no clue i was there and they were 70 yds downwind and ended up at 20 yds.I went with another buddy down to Jeron's shop today to get him one and also purchased 2 more for a couple buddy's that want to try it out.I have some more buddy's that are on the fence but am sure will get theirs also after they hear about the results from my other buddy's.What is funny is that some of these guy's were the first to laugh at my buddy and i and are now wanting to try it out.I know after the great results i have had i dont ever want to go out without smoking up first. So with that said i would just like to say, Thank's Brock.

Awesome stuff Brian! It works for sure!

Funny story, the family wanted me to go to KI this evening for the last weekend of Fright Night and I told them to dress warm. The girls wanted to wear their camo beanies for their ears and head so they followed me out to the garage while I fetched them out of the tote. I opened the tote in the back of the 3rd bay on the far side of the garage and my wife opened the door from our kitchen hallway to get in the car to leave and she didn't take two steps off the steps and said, "I smell smoke!" I laughed and I smelled smoke while following them around at KI. Hehehe

Great to see you over here whodey1966! Yep just about any method works to get the smoke on you and your clothes. The scent smoker is pretty convenient though since you can only fill enough to get the job done, smoke everything including your equipment and body, do it truck side at your hunting location and be able to put it out to head to the woods.
Thanks! Great bunch of people on this site!

I love smoking up. The smell can get over powering, but who cares if it works. So far this season I've had three or four occasions with deer down wind and I was NEVER busted. Yesterday morning was icing on the cake. I was hanging my stand and had three deer about 50 yards in front of me. Momma walked down and tried to catch my wind to see what I was, but instead of bolting she trotted off the direction she came (right past me). She didn't blow, snort, stomp her feet, or anything like a normal deer would do when you've been winded.

I need to get some more hickory chips though. At this rate I won't have enough for the rest of the season. :smiley_coolpeace:

The smoke scent cover sure works. I haven't had one deer bust out on me in 2 seasons since starting to use it.
Yesterday when I shot my buck he was downwind at 20 yds. and stopped 2 times to throw his head up in the air to smell the odor. Then he turned at 20 yds. and walked straight to me. He turn slightly broadside and I shot him at 14 yds..

I also had Deer Ever Calm smeared on my tree about 4 ft. high and he may have been coming to that to. Never asked.
It is fun watching deer downwind throw their head up in the air to smell then calm down and go about their business unalarmed.

In 2 seasons I never hunt unless smoked up and having Deer Ever Calm present. Never tried just on and won't try just one.

Hall of Fame Total Dumbass Move:

I decided I better move the still very hot smoker so the dogs wouldn't mess with it when I put them out. Without thinking I picked it up by the bellows with my right hand, and stuck my left hand on the bottom of it.

Yep, 3 fingers burned and a lesson I will never forget. :smiley_baby: :smiley_blackeye:

Hey Diane, it's only hot when you touch it.

Well I need a Scentsmoker, left my bee smoker sitting on the side of the road where I park last week and someone picked it up. This opens a question I have for those using a smoker, when your done with it...where do you put it? I'm always affraid to put a still smoking can in the bed of my truck. I figure some do gooder will call 911 cause they think my truck is on fire or that I will catch my truck on fire?

At any rate, you coming to Lancaster any time soon Broc?

Converted my buddy over the past few days to become a scent smoker follower. He will be placing his order soon!

I have not been blown at or sniffed out this year where it has alerted any deer too much! They get squirmy sometimes but it is a calm, " I think I'll go another way..."

GREAT PRODUCT!!

I have a cargo carrier on the back of my jeep. I just set it on there. If I am in my work van I just hang it up from the frame of the van

When I'm hunting on private ground I leave the smoker still smoking, sitting on the ground on the 2x6 that is the back gate of my trailer.
When I'm hunting public, I just pour a little water on the coals to kill 'em, and empty the mess on the ground, then put the smoker back in the truck.
Like Smokey says make sure it's dead-cold out blah blah safety safety, a few extra seconds but keeps the smoker safe

Not coming to Lancaster anytimes soon, Corey. Jerron Detty has em in his shop in Chillicothe. That's the closest to you I know of. I will be @ Mom's in Circleville but not till the 17th.
