Having a mail order business is like having a pet or a child - you don't have the freedom to just walk away on a moment's notice without having made arrangements for customer orders to be promptly filled. Also having money tied up in inventory can be a pain in the balls. Plus, when you realize you're not gonna make a bazillion $$$ real quick some of the enthusiasm that greeted your new business kinda wears off a little....

Partially correct, Dan. It is a pain to know that every day during hunting season I had to rush home to fill orders, or have someone else do it for me. The money issue was never a factor in this little venture. I didn't figure on ever making a lot with it, didn't start the thing with that in mind...honestly. I told as many people as would listen how well smoke worked even before I ever started selling them. The only real thrill to the thing was having so many really, really good hunters try it and see for themselves that it's an effective method. I can't lie about that, it's fun to have fellow hunters whom I respect say, "I'll be danged, that works". Once I saw how much money it would take to properly market the thing, I knew I'd never put together enough cash to make much with it. And regardless of what anyone thinks, spending money on advertising works. Everyone is quick to point out how all the "celebrity-type" hunters are whores, but they make their living doing what works... and it works because people buy their crap. I imagine if I had enough money to put together a video with Tiffany smoking up in a bikini, it would have done a bit better financially. Who cares, it was fun while it lasted. 8 years is long enough.

It may work too, but I'll have to take the word of others on that. I won't be selling Scent Smokers, but will still be using it!

What the...noooooooo! This is the first that I am hearing/seeing you are done with SS Brock. I actually just moved my first one, which lasted 8years. Hopefully you can send a few with Dan to the outing, I'll pick one up.

It looks like Dan may be able to bring some SS up to the shoot. I'm trying to get a total needed/wanted right now, and from this thread I see 8 requested already. Anyone else need one? I don't want to over-burden Dan by sending more than is needed, but if any of you want one, take advantage of Dan's generosity here...
I'm only going to need one now, I had said 2 originally but my buddy doesn't need another one.
