Thanks guys, well its been a hard season that's for sure, been trying to time him on trail cams to no avail, got a new buck the last two days on cam and he is a nice 8, well the 8 has been there like clockwork at 8 am and 6:45 pm the last two nights and Target was nowhere around till midnight last night, got 30 videos of him sniffing around back and forth and the last video got an ass shot of him making a scrape right in front of the camera, I think he was a little pissed this other buck was on his turf, so I got in my stand at 2 like always and waited and I was thinking 6:45 6:45 6:45 but at 6:35 Target stepped out I'm sure to confront the 8 on his turf, walked the normal trail sniffing all the saplings and once in the clear he got it and bolted, watched him run left, then right and back into the sanctuary and I hear a crash, I waited " not cause I was shaking so bad I didn't want to fall" and climbed down and walked to the jeep, went back and no blood followed his tracks and still no blood walked all the way back and not a drop, I though did I make a bad shot? I though damn I just took a shot on my Target deer and blew it, I squatted down to look for any blood at all and nothing looked to my left and there he laid that crash was his last, he only ran about 50 yds and was only 10 yds in front of my buddy stand, and he is one big bodied sob heaviest deer I've shot that's for sure
