Saw a bunch tonight right around 6:30 I had over 10 deer in bow range all at once. Not a single buck to be seen....until I was on the way home and saw a stud about a half mile up the road from my spot.

Had 5 bucks around me tonight. the smaller ones were fighting. I snort wheezed the 3 juveniles in but couldn't get the big boy to commit. I couldn't tell if he was the big 6 point or one of the other bucks. A recent camera check showed no less than 5 shooters in that area
Sounds like your in a great spot. Time will only tell with me. Cameras didn't show much, but that's not unusual for early season. Next trip down should be more of an indicator.
I have all of next week off, and I plan to hit it hard. I have been so side tracked with this new pup and possibly new job, hunting hasn't been at the top of the list.

Jake was just too far forward just missed the heart and got brisket and leg.. just a matter of inches. Really sucks as he was a good one and would have been my first recurve buck. Will keep at it.
Well I made it out and I'm glad. I was having separation issues with my stand, I missed it. It's a real nice morning to be out. God luck guys

Supposrd to be hot next couple of days so will get sime things done around the house and farm.

I haven't been out since sunday. I did have a great hunt that morning. Quite a few bucks moving. The boss has me working so many different fucked up shifts. 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. one day. Then the next 7 pm to 7am. I don't have a clue from one day to the next what my schedule is. I just try to get enough sleep right now.
